We are exploring a new genre of stage reality film, says Lara Dutta on Crazy Hum!

Bollywood actress Lara Dutta is selective about the movie she takes post motherhood. The actor was seen in two movies last year - Fitoor and Azhar. Her role was short but essential.

Now, she is all set to be seen in a movie titled Crazy Hum along with Sonakshi Sinha, Diljit Dosanjh and Aditya Roy Kapur. The movie went on floors in New York City. A few of the scenes were shot during IIFA Awards 2017 and the film revolves around the event itself.

As per news, the movie will show the journey of three friends Sonakshi, Diljit and Aditya where IIFA will be setting an important backdrop. Speaking about it, a source disclosed to the tabloid, "Unlike Karan Johar who plays himself in the film, Lara doesn't play an actress but one of the characters. She plays the head of the management at IIFA and has a full-fledged role in the movie, which will also have some interesting cameos. Lara's role has different flavours to it and she said yes almost immediately."

When Lara was questioned about it, she confirmed the news saying, "We have been shooting in New York and it's been a madhouse with amazing energy on the sets. I'm very excited to be a part of this film. Also, for the first time, we are exploring a new genre of stage reality film."


Lara had also posted a picture from the green carpet, where she was seen shooting for the film with Sonakshi and Diljit. She captioned the picture on Instagram telling, "First of its kind experience walking the green carpet 'in character'!! . Sorry to the fans and press on the carpet, couldn't shake hands or greet you, our film cameras were rolling and you'll are all going to be in the shot!!!"
