Recently, superstar Amitabh Bachchan turned 80 on October 11. From Prime Minister to his colleagues from the industry, family members and admirers flooded social media and penned warm wishes for the legendary actor. He was also seen addressing his admirers who were stationed outside his house to get a glimpse of him. After celebrating his birthday, Big B took to his blog and wrote a note of gratitude for all his admirers.

Despite his hectic shooting schedules, Amitabh Bachchan thanked everyone for showering love and blessings on him. He posted, ".. and another 365 .. and another begins .. as do many other begins ..  beginnings are required .. they provide ends .. and ends need love and grace and care to be accomplished..." Senior Bachchan further wrote, "It is impossible for me to even attempt what your love and affection means to me .. so I fold my hands and pray for all in the spirit of generous gratitude .. Big B spent time with his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Shweta Bachchan. She took to Instagram and offered a glimpse of their intimate celebration. The Mard actor looked regal in an ethnic outfit. He was seen twinning with Shweta. Along with the pics, Shweta wrote, "Twinning & Winning - perfect end to an incredible day."

Well-known stars Kritika Kamra and Pratik Gandhi are uniting for a forthcoming spying thriller 'For Your Eyes Only'. The show will stream on Netflix India Original. Helmed by Scam 1992 writer Sumit Purohit, 'For Your Eyes Only' will be bankrolled under the banner of Bombay Fables Motion Pictures and is reported to be shot in three countries. The shooting of the show has begun.

A media source close to the project discloses, "Kritika plays the female lead along with Pratik Gandhi and has a very key role. 'For Your Eyes Only' will mark Kritika Kamra's first association with Sumit Purohit, while Pratik Gandhi will reunite with his Scam 1992 writer.”

On the work front, Kritika was recently seen in the web series Hush Hush, while Pratik Gandhi will be essaying the role of Mahatma Gandhi in Hansal Mehta’s web series 'Gandhi'.

Is Ajay Devgn enacting “Chanakya” role in Neeraj Pandey’s next?

As per media updates, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn and Neeraj Chopra are uniting for a film which may be based on the life of Chanakya. As per history, Chanakya was the royal advisor to Mauryan Emperor Chandragupta.

In February 2020, Pandey had spoken in detail about this project with a media source. He confirmed to a media source that “the film was in pre-production and gearing to go on floors. The project got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Recently, Ajay Devgn informed his admirers he will soon commence filming for his next movie with filmmaker Neeraj Pandey. The Phool Aur Kaante actor also informed us that his movie will release at a global level in cinemas on June 16, 2023.

In a tweet on Monday evening, Devgn shared, “@neerajpofficial and I are going to start our film together soon. And, this one will release worldwide in cinemas on June 16, 2023.”

Deepika Padukone reveals about getting first role in Om Shanti Om opposite SRK!

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is one of the fittest actresses in Bollywood. She began with television commercials, modelling, and background dancing. She got her first movie break in a Kannada movie Aishwarya and then she got a titular role in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om with Shah Rukh Khan. They were looking to cast a new face and mind you, a double role of one character who is like the old world Bollywood heroine Hema Malini or Wahida Rehman, and the other role was this young Indian modern woman. Without auditioning me or without having ever met me, she took the pictures to Shah Rukh."

Deepika further disclosed that SRK questioned Farah to go ahead with her decision if she was ok with it and the next thing, she knew was that she was working with India's biggest megastar Shah Rukh Khan and one of India's biggest female directors in her first Bollywood movie, without auditioning. Deepika spoke about how she still asks Farah about her instincts and how she thought that she was fit to play Shantipriya and Sandy in Om Shanti Om. The movie was a huge commercial success and Deepika has never looked back since then.

Deepika Padukone to reveal about her struggle with mental health!

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is one of the most talented actresses in Hindi film industry. The Om Shanti Om actress has always been voiced about her struggle with mental health and she also runs the Live Love Laugh Foundation, which aims to help those struggling with their mental health. Earlier in 2015, Deepika came out about her mental illness and disclosed that she fought depression a year before that and sought help.

Presently, Deepika in Tamil Nadu for a mental health program. In a media chat, she talked about her battle with mental illness. The Piku actress also credited her mother Ujjala Padukone for detecting her signs and symptoms of depression. Speaking to a daily, she revealed that if her mother and her caregiver had not identified her symptoms, in her moment of vulnerability, had she not had the presence of mind to tell her to or help her to reach out to the professionals, she wouldn't know what state she would be in today. "Ensuring, I was regular with my treatment, with my consultations with the doctors, and of course, it takes a toll on the caregiver as well and that's not something new. I think caregivers in general, whether it is mental illness or any other form of illness, it takes a toll on the caregiver," Deepika revealed.

SRK son Aryan Khan to get train for filmmaking by 'Fauda' director!

The work has already begun on the project and it may kick off by the end of the year. Aryan wants to learn the process of filmmaking. He wants to kick off his career as a writer first before he dives into the direction."

Sometimes I feel that they can be critical, but being negative is not nice. We accept criticism with open arms. Because being critical is very imperative. Everyone needs that kind of policing. But I feel, sometimes some people push that from being critical to being negative," revealed Karan Johar.

The director further revealed that he always wanted to ask those people why they don’t want this film to work. "I wanted to ask them - don’t you want to make sure this massive cinema experience gets the footfall so that we can force forward with so much more,” revealed Karan Johar. “That’s the only thing that upsets me, that people within the industry sometimes, celebrate the ruination of a film. And I feel that’s never a good thing,” further added the owner of Dharma Productions.

Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth’s direction for father Rajinikanth in his 173rd film!

As per latest media buzz, megastar Rajinikanth has signed a two movies deal with the makers of his 2020 film Darbar. If the reports are to be believed, while the first film will be directed by Don fame filmmaker Cibi Chakravarthy, the second will be directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwaryaa.

Aishwaryaa will be directing Rajinikanth's 173rd film. Earlier, the Robot star acted in his younger daughter Soundarya's 2014 drama, Kochadaiyaan. But this is the first time he will be working under the direction of his elder one.

Presently, Rajinikanth is hectic in filming for Jailer at the moment. He will essay an elderly character as a jailer in the venture. Menstruation has been a taboo for a long time, but there has been progress. I’m sitting on stage today with my grandfather and talking about periods, and that itself is a sign of progress. The fact that we are sitting on a platform today with many people watching us and having an open conversation about menstruation itself shows that we have progressed, not just as women but as a country."

Navya further added, "It’s great that not just the women, but the men have also joined in this mission of making menstruation a destigmatized conversation. More importantly, at home, because change always begins at home. Women should feel comfortable and safe about their own bodies in their own homes before going out in society and talking about that. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a home where I felt comfortable having these conversations."

On the processional front, Navya recently launched her debut podcast, ‘What the Hell Navya’. The 31-minute podcast was all-encompassing of her mother, writer and entrepreneur Shweta Bachchan Nanda, and grandmother, veteran actor Jaya Bachchan and Navya’s opinions on a diversity of topics. Besides it, Navya runs Aara Health, an online healthcare platform for women. She is also the founder of Project Naveli.

In a latest media chat, the mom-to-be Alia Bhatt revealed that Ranbir wants her to “get back to work soon" after the birth of their child. She further added that Ranbir is very happy, and has already been like: 'baby you work from this month onwards, I will take time off so you can go to work. I can come back and then you can take time off then we just keep taking time off.' Alia said that Ranbir is very happy to share the baby's responsibility. "In fact, he recently said in an interview that 'I think I have this very big responsibility on my head and that is to send Alia back to work because the fans would really complain and hold me responsible if I don't do my bit as a parent as well,'" the Sadak 2 star revealed.

Lately, Rahul Roy, who started his acting career with the 1990 hit Aashiqui opposite Anu Aggarwal responded to Kartik being cast in Aashiqui 3 and said that he is 'pleased' with the casting. “Kartik is a wonderful young actor. He has a history of picking the right films. I haven’t spoken with him yet, but I hope to do so soon.”

Furthermore, he revealed that Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety actor represents the new generation and this film is for the youth, so he believes that Kartik will be a fantastic match. Daughter Ananya's link-up rumors don’t bother her, says Bhavana Pandey!

She revealed while it used to bother her earlier, she has now learned to make peace with it and accept it as a part of her daughter’s acting profession. Bhavana also revealed that as a mother, she often tells Ananya a lot of things including how to avoid controversies but again it’s just a part of their profession.

As per a leading tabloid, opening about her daughter and hubby Chunky Panday’s profession, Bhavana revealed, “People will have both positive and negative things to say, but I have become very relaxed and content now. Ananya as well as Chunky have decided to put themselves in front of the camera...be out there and get judged. And they are well aware of what comes with being who they are. However, if anything is said about my younger daughter (Rysa), it would definitely affect me because she has not chosen it,” she explains, adding, “I strongly feel that good outweighs everything else. So overall, I feel much more relaxed and content now.”

Also, Bhavana added, “But I know Ananya is a very smart and intelligent girl who knows how to handle herself. When she joined the industry, she was 18 or 19 years old, and that’s the age when maximum learning happens. That’s the age when you make most mistakes, you learn, and you grow. She has done all that while being in the public eye. She has literally grown up in front of the camera. Considering all that, I believe she is doing great and as parents, I and Chunky feel proud of her.”

 

Prabhas in fear to say YES for playing Lord Ram in Adipurush!

The promo of Prabhas starrer Adipurush is finally out. The promo of the movie launched on the bank of Sarayu in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya. In the movie, Prabhas depicts the role of Lord Ram, while Saif Ali will be playing the role of the antagonist, Raavan. Adipurush is directed by the National Award-winning filmmaker Om Raut, who promises a visual treat to all. The film, which is an adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana, also stars Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in key roles.

Lately, on his role of God Ram in the Om Raut directorial, Prabhas confessed that he was scared about essaying Lord Ram. He was quoted as saying “I was really frightened about the role. We have done this film with a lot of love and dedication.” The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-series, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles.

The movie is scheduled to release on January 12, 2023 in cinemas.

Ishita Dutta’s excitement over her role in Drishyam 2!

Drishyam’s Ishita Dutta looks forward to her next flick Drishyam 2 starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in lead roles. Previously, Ishita made her television debut in 2013 with Star Plus's soap opera Ek Ghar Banaunga as Poonam and since then, she has been working hard to realize her dreams by making a mark in the Hindi film industry.

About her role in next movie Drishyam 2, she disclosed, "I am very excited for 'Drishyam 2'. A lot of my fans and the audience have been asking me about the second installment of the film for a very long time. It's finally here and I am sure the audience will love everything the film has to offer.”

“I have done films earlier but a majority of the audiences remember me for my role in Drishyam. So, I am really grateful to be a part of this film,” Ishita further told.

Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra has been making buzz due to its box office performances and top-notch visual treat for audiences. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt Brahmastra 1 starrer is loved by all; now all concentration are on part 2 and 3 of the trilogy. Lately, in a media conversation, the veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt admired Ayan Mukerji and film Brahmastra.

When interviewed about the change in filmmaking now, Mahesh Bhatt instantly replied, “I was dazzled by Brahmastra. When I saw the film, I felt that this is a quantum leap and I have no hesitation in saying that Ayan is the James Cameron of the Indian cinema world.” Mahesh Bhatt further revealed, “Of course, it required a Disney and the likes of Uday Shankar and Karan Johar and the support of Ranbir and Alia and Ayan’s entire team, but I think that it is something quite amazing.”

Mahesh Bhatt went on to admire Ayan Mukerji’s courage and revealed, “There is a filmmaker here who says that I am going to stand up and make movies which are going to be as good as the best content that is created by the world. And so, it’s playing overseas. Just standing up and mesmerising them by being rooted in India. They are rooted here and yet they are very contemporary in their packaging and the way it looks. It has the breath of India. It’s not referenced from somewhere, it comes from his own DNA, his own gene pool.”

Karan Johar’s unhappiness due to NO wedding invitation from this star couple!

Recently, the 13^th episode of Koffee With Karan Season 7 has aired. In this episode, the filmmaker Karan Johar revealed that Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's nuptial was embarrassing: “When Vicky and Katrina were getting married, it became very embarrassing for me. It got to a point where people were like you did not tell us about them, you are at the wedding and still not telling us, etc! It got very embarrassing to admit that I had not been invited. Then after the wedding came the sympathies and doubts. People were like why weren’t you invited? Is everything ok between you guys?” disclosed the filmmaker.

Also, he added, “When I got to know that Anurag Kashyap had also not been invited to Vicky-Kat’s wedding, I did find a little peace." Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif tied the knot on December 9, 2021 at Six Senses Fort Barwara, Rajasthan, in an intimate ceremony.
