Karan Johar talks about perceptions about Bollywood being ‘finished'!

Filmmaker Karan Johar is one of the leading director-producers in Hindi cinema. He made his directorial debut back in 1998 with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a film that continues to remain iconic. Later, he directed some famous movies including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham… (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), My Name Is Khan (2010), and more.

Now, the filmmaker opened up on claims of Bollywood being ‘finished', he revealed, “It’s all nonsense and rubbish. Good films will always work. Gangubai Kathiawadi and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have done huge numbers. We have done numbers on JugJugg Jeeyo as well. Films which aren’t good can never work and they’ve never worked."

In addition, he added that numerous big movies like Laal Singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan, Brahmastra, and Rohit Shetty's film lined up and by the end of the year there is a Salman Khan film too. "There's so much to look forward to. We have all the love, we just need to create the right content to create it," KJo told.

Furthermore, he revealed, “To get the audience inside a cinema hall is not easy anymore. You've to make sure your film, trailer, and campaign is exciting to manage to get those numbers. You're living upto your own reputation. Is it a stress? Could be. But it's more of a challenge and I like taking challenges.”

Janhvi Kapoor talks about GoodLuck Jerry's comparisons with Kolamaavu Kokila!

Presently, Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is enjoying the success of her lately released film, GoodLuck Jerry, which is directed by Sidharth Sengupta and produced by filmmaker Aanand L Rai's Colour Yellow Productions. The film also starred Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh. It is a remake of the 2018 hit Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila, which starred Nayanthara in the lead role. Now, in a media chat, the Dhadak actress opened up on GoodLuck Jerry being compared to Kolamaavu Kokila.

In a chat with a daily, Janhvi talked about the pros and cons of starring in a popular Hindi remake. She told, “Pro is definitely that you know this film has worked. It has connected with people, so that security is there. The cons, I think is that a large number of audiences must have seen the film in that content and there will be comparisons, but I think that our intention with the film is to do a take on it because it's a fun story. It's a fun world and this is our take on it. If that story happened in a completely different environment, not in South India, in North India, then what would it be like?"

In addition, Janhvi also opened up about why she chose to be a part of GoodLuck Jerry, she added that she loved Nayanthara's Kolamavu Kokila and she thought it was a fun movie. "I thought that Sidharth (Sengupta) my director's take on Kolamavu Kokila was so different and so exciting. I think that's exactly what I wanted to do at that point," revealed the Roohi actress.
