Karan Johar hasn't approached me for a film, with Ranbir or without him, reveals SRK!

People are waiting to see Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar's magic on the big screen since their last director-actor association that is, My Name Is Khan in the year 2010. When we got to see a small glimpse of SRK in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the fans went ballistic and were happy to see the megastar in a KJo film.

Since then, there were news of Karan approaching SRK and Ranbir Kapoor for his next, but nothing has been confirmed about it. When a famous tabloid questioned King Khan about the same, he specified, "Karan last approached me for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which I did. Before that, he had come to me with another script, which he dropped. He told me he doesn’t want to make it. He was not directing it, someone else was making it under his banner. He just came to me and told me, ‘Bhai, I have an idea. Would you like to hear it?’ I said yes. But then, after three days, he called me to say that it is too expensive and he doesn’t want to do it. He said he’ll think of something else."

He further added, "No, he has not approached me for a film, with Ranbir or without him."

Previously when the daily asked about it to Karan, he responded, "Yes, there was a talk of a film. It was a while ago. It was a script which I later felt was going all over the place so we redesigned the film. Whether it is Adi and Shah Rukh or me — we have had a really solid combination run. He is my go-to person for a film when I think of an idea. He is great to jam with. His instinct on cinema, and what he thinks I am capable of, is stronger than what I am really capable of. He actually has a better instinct on what I can do more than I have. He knows my abilities as a filmmaker much more than I perhaps recognise myself. So he and I always talk in general about so many films."
