Salman Khan is all set to be seen in Kabir Khan's
directorial titled Tubelight. The movie is set against the backdrop of 1960's
during Indo-China war. Tubelight will also mark the Bollywood debut of Chinese
actress Zhu Zhu opposite the megastar.
There have been numerous reports making the rounds if Zhu
Zhu will be coming to India to promote Tubelight. When Kabir was questioned
about it by an agency, he specified, "Heroines have always played strong
roles in my films. Zhu Zhu plays an important role in the film but we can't
talk about it. Also, she will be coming to India for promotions. But we are yet
to chalk out a proper plan."
Furthermore, numerous Bollywood films have been released in
China, recent being Aamir Khan's PK and Dangal. So, will Tubelight also be
released in China? To which Kabir told, "China market is different when it
comes to releasing Indian films. The film has to be presented to them, they
have to like it and then pass it. They have certain guidelines to release a
film."
Tubelight is an adaptation of Hollywood film Little Boy.
Talking about it, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan director said, "Our film is an
adaptation of Little Boy. We have taken the germ of an idea and made it
according to our sensibilities. We have made it in the context of our
history."
Tubelight is scheduled to release during Eid weekend that
is, June 23, 2017.
