Anurag Kashyap, who is quite annoyed with the Censor Board
for not being fair to his forthcoming production Udta Punjab, gushed about the movie
during a recent media interaction and told that it is the most 'honest' movie
he has ever seen.
Speaking about the movie, Kashyap, who shot to fame with
Black Friday, a gritty and realistic film about the 1993 bomb blasts, told,
''Udta Punjab is the most honest film I have ever seen… It is more honest than
my film Black Friday and whoever has any issue with this film, has to be
corrupt. We want the film to be released without any cuts and we will fight for
it if need be.''
Starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and
Diljit Dosanjh, Udta Punjab revolves around rampant drug abuse in Punjab.
