Director Siddharth Anand's movie with Sanjay Dutt, which is
tentatively titled Badlaa, seems to have hit a major obstruction. The makers of
the movie are unable to find a female lead, who will play Dutt's daughter.
Seemingly, Athiya Shetty was offered the role, but she has
not heard the script yet. Anand, who was keen on casting Kriti Sanon, has been
unable to rope in the Dilwale actress. The shooting of the movie is scheduled
to start in August and is likely to be delayed. Sources told that the
producers, who have a contract with Anand for the film, are likely to shelve
the project, if they fail to finalise a female lead soon.
Anand's movie was to be Dutt's comeback movie and now if the
shooting of the film is delayed or if the project is shelved, Dutt will start
work on Shelly Chopra's Marco, which is set in Goa and Chennai.
