Earlier, it was rumored that the most-awaited Rajinikanth
starrer Robot 2.0 would arrive in theatres on April 14, 2017, along with SS
Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2. As anticipated, the very possibility of
these two sequels clashing at the ticket window sent shock waves amongst film enthusiasts.
Now, it seems that clash will not be happening. According to
a report, Robot 2.0 will not be released on the date. As a result, Baahuali 2
will get a free run at the box office.
“Two big films like Robot 2 and Baahubali 2 can never
release on the same day. Also, they are yet to finish shooting and have a lot
of work left. Then there is post-production and VFX, which takes up the maximum
time for such films. So Robot 2 isn’t releasing in April, but we are definitely
releasing our film on April 14 next year,” told Rana Daggubati.
Film Baahubali 2 is advertised to be an epic-drama while
Robot 2.0 is a science-fiction thriller.
