The war of words between much-admired filmmaker Anurag
Kashyap and Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani over the Udta Punjab row is
about to get more intense, from what we can see.
A day ago, Anurag lashed out at Pahlaj and also called him a
'dictatorial man’ with regards to the cuts that the Censor wants the makers of
his forthcoming movie Udta Punjab to make and now, Pahlaj has decided to hit
back. In an interview to a daily, Pahlaj compared Anurag Kashyap to a child,
who has been denied a toy and told that Anurag is making a hue and cry about
the whole issue because he could not have his way. Pahlaj also told that the
cuts that the Censor Board is suggesting are completely justified as the film represents
Punjab in a negative light.
