It had been informed months back that Shahid Kapoor has been
approached for the Bollywood remake of South film Magadheera, which had starred
Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal. But, it now seems that Shahid has turned down
the project.
Approving the news, Shahid told that he is not doing the
film anymore and that he has no new projects lined up after Rangoon. But,
Shahid did not elaborate on his reasons for not being a part of the rebirth
drama. Shahid will be next seen playing an eccentric and druggie rockstar named
Tommy Singh in Udta Punjab, which is slated to release this weekend.
In Rangoon, Shahid will essay the role of a soldier in the
INA (Indian National Army).
