We had informed earlier that Smita Thackeray is planning to
produce a movie on the life of late Balasaheb Thackeray, which will be directed
by her son Rahul Thackeray and we have overheard that the makers are keen to
have Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan play the lead role in the movie,
which is titled Saheb.
Viewers may know that Thackeray and Bachchan shared a warm
relationship and the latter had played a role inspired by Thackeray in Ram
Gopal Varma's movie Sarkar. Unnecessary to say, we too feel that with his
powerful screen presence and his effective voice, Bachchan would be the best
actor to play the lead role in the movie based on the leader.
But, it is yet to be decided as to which actor would be
signed up to play a younger Thackeray.
