Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who made his Hollywood
debut with The Great Gatsby, in which he played a Jewish gangster, made a
shocking statement lately by accusing Hollywood of abolishing the local film
industry.
While talking about the fact that in 2016, big budget
Hollywood movies, which released alongside Hindi movies and made a killing at
the box-office, the Big B told that Hollywood is quite powerful and that it has
destroyed the local film industry wherever it has gone, including in countries
like United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain or Japan. Bachchan further added
that the Indian film industry should take this competition seriously and fight
for their space.
Bachchan will be seen in Pink, in which he plays a lawyer.
