Actress Priyanka Chopra's production house, Purple Pebbles
Productions, which was launched previously in the year, has forayed into
regional cinema and so far backed three regional movies in Bhojpuri, Punjabi
and Marathi. Priyanka Chopra told that she wants to back more regional movies
in the coming months and provide a platform to regional filmmakers.
So far her production has backed a Bhojpuri film, Bam Bam
Bol Raha Hai Kashi, which released in June. Next in line is a Punjabi movie (Ek
Onkar) and then a Marathi movie (Ventilator), which will roll out later this
year. Priyanka, as she is fondly known, told that her focus is on small-budget
films and soon she is going to do another 2-3 films in different languages.
In the meantime, Priyanka is riding a wave of success ever
since she got the US show Quantico, which was followed by bagging a key role in
Dwayne Johnson's Baywatch.
