Comedian Tanmay Bhat, who had annoyed fans of Sachin
Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar with his Snapchat video, can now finally heave a
sigh of relief.
When the video had gone viral, Ameya Khopkar of the MNS had
threatened to file a FIR (First Information Report) against Bhat. But, it now
seems that the Mumbai Police is not really keen to take any action against the
chubby comedian. An official from the Mumbai Police told that prima facie,
there seems to be no case against Tanmay if MNS files a complaint. The official
added that had Tendulkar or Mangeshkar filed a complaint against Bhat, they
would have been forced to take action in this matter.
Tanmay Bhat’s video had drawn criticisms from many people,
including Bollywood celebrities, who declared that his humour was in bad taste.
