Contrary to the reports of a spat between megastar Shah Rukh
Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty after their last collaboration Dilwale did not
fare well at the box office, the twosome are likely to reunite for the third
time. There is a news that Shahrukh Khan and Shetty are teaming up for the
remake of the Tamil blockbuster Theri.
Seemingly, after a go-ahead from SRK, the filmmaker is going
ahead with the procedure to acquire the rights of the movie and it is likely to
go on floors next year. Theri follows the story of Chennai DCP Vijay Kumar who
quits his job after the murder of his wife to lead a peaceful and happy life
with his daughter in Kerala. Before Dilwale, the duo worked together in Chennai
Express, which was a blockbuster.
Remarkably, Akshay Kumar was keen on acquiring the rights
for a remake of the movie. Akshay has been part of several South remakes
including Rowdy Rathore, Boss and Holiday and has struck gold at the box
office.
