Its confirmed! Marco is the comeback film for the Sanajy Dutt; goes on floor soon!

Filmmaker and Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra tells that he, along with writer Abhijaat Joshi, is working on the script of "Marco" which will be actor Sanjay Dutt's comeback movie and that the project will go on the floors in the first half of next year.

At the closing ceremony of the 18th Jio MAMI Film Festival with Star on Thursday night, Chopra told, "We are writing the script of 'Marco'. We don't make a movie till our script is ready. We are very very hopeful that we will start shortly. The moment the script is done, hopefully in March, April, we will start shooting."

Sanjay will be playing the role of a Goan in "Marco", which will mark the directorial debut of Chopra's sister Shelly.

Chopra, who was present at the event along with Sanjay and Joshi, further added, "Even Sanju knows this that we never make a film in a hurry. Therefore, the day our script is ready, within a week, we will be starting the shooting."

Sanjay Dutt's comeback film in trouble!

Director Siddharth Anand's movie with Sanjay Dutt, which is tentatively titled Badlaa, seems to have hit a major obstruction. The makers of the movie are unable to find a female lead, who will play Dutt's daughter.

Seemingly, Athiya Shetty was offered the role, but she has not heard the script yet. Anand, who was keen on casting Kriti Sanon, has been unable to rope in the Dilwale actress. The shooting of the movie is scheduled to start in August and is likely to be delayed. Sources told that the producers, who have a contract with Anand for the film, are likely to shelve the project, if they fail to finalise a female lead soon.

Anand's movie was to be Dutt's comeback movie and now if the shooting of the film is delayed or if the project is shelved, Dutt will start work on Shelly Chopra's Marco, which is set in Goa and Chennai.
