We had informed that Vivek Oberoi, who will be next seen
playing the lead role in Ram Gopal Varma's Rai, which is based on the life of
alleged Bangalore-based don Muthappa Rai, is not only changing his look, but
also his voice for the movie to sound like Rai and we have now overheard that
Vivek will also learn Kannada for the movie.
A source revealed, ''Since Vivek plays a
gangster-turned-businessman based in Bangalore, there were scenes that required
him to speak in Kannada fluently. He will also be dubbing for the movie in
Kannada.'' Interestingly, Vivek has a tutor at home itself in the form of his
wife Priyanka, who is from Bangalore. Confirming the news, Vivek said,
''Muthappa Rai is a larger than life charachter who belongs to Bangalore and
therefore, it is important to get the minutes of his mother tongue right.
Learning Kannada is tough, but I am happy and blessed to have an instructor
right here at home.''
Vivek had made his debut as an actor with Ramu's Company and
the actor is quite thrilled about starring in Rai.
