It was like a fatwa was issued against me, says Vivek Oberoi over his career after Salman dispute!

It was the year 2003 when actor Vivek Anand Oberoi called for a press conference where he disclosed that Salman Khan threatened him with numerous calls during his affair with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

It's more than 15 years, but still, Vivek is bearing the brunt of it. He had numerous hits like Company, Saathiya and Masti. But after 2003, reports have it, people feared to approach him for roles. Speaking about it, he specified to a famous daily, "It was like a fatwa was issued against me from the powers that be."

A source close to Vivek had revealed to the daily, "To what extent Salman blacklisted him from the industry is a matter of conjecture. It’s easy to assume that he used his clout to ask people to exclude Vivek from projects. But then, Salman didn’t get along with Ranbir Kapoor and John Abraham either and they’ve both got work through the years."

Vivek spoke about how his personal life got messed up by telling, "When my personal life got messed up, I couldn’t keep my eye on the ball. Even if I gave a hit, work wouldn’t follow. Shootout at Lokhandwala became a huge hit, but I sat at home for a year after that."

Preity Zinta nonsenses reports of Farhan's show on her alleged fling during IPL!

Preity Zinta has criticized a famous tabloid for taking out a fake report that Farhan Akhtar’s new series will feature a bondage scene between two characters, where one character is loosely based on Preity.

Farhan Akhtar is coming up with a new online series called Inside Edge which is based on the outline of one of the biggest cricket spectacles Indian Premier League (IPL). The series will star Vivek Oberoi in the role inspired by Lalit Modi, the former chairman who was sacked in 2010 for alleged fraud and money laundering,

The series will also star actress Richa Chadha and her role is allegedly based on Preity Zinta as one of the team owners.

Now, a famous tabloid reported that there is going to a raunchy love-making scene between the two (the boss and the team owner) after the female team owner starts incurring losses and decides to exchange sexual favours for money to keep the business running.

This news has not gone down well with Preity Zinta. Taking to her Twitter account she tagged the famous tabloid and told, “Dear @dna this is absolutely FAKE NEWS. I have never called up Farhan nor am I interested in the show nor any character is based on me.”

The same famous tabloid has also reported that Preity has reportedly got in touch with the series producer Farhan Akhtar and requested him to show the scene to her before it is streamed.

The series is directed by Karan Anshuman and will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video next month.

Riteish-Vivek starrer Bank-Chor becomes a first 16D film to activate all senses for a viewer!

Film Bank-Chor produced under the Y-Films banner [the youth wing of Yash Raj Films (YRF)] is the first feature movie in the world to release in 16D. The poster of the film starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Rhea Chakraborty is finally out.

The film revolves around three friends who try to rob a bank and probably pick the worst day to do the job. It is set to release worldwide on June 16, 2017.

In the poster, the trio are seen disguised as a Baba, an elephant and a horse in order to pursue their robbery mission.

Well, coming to the film, the movie has been designed with the next level of technology and immersive experiences where 16D helps activate all senses for a viewer in terms of touch, sight, hearing, smell, taste and also thought, imagination & feeling. I’m certain Bank-Chor will steal a lot of hearts but since you can’t take chances, I’m also keeping a 16-day fast and chanting Om Y-Films O Namah 16 times a day… am told it really works!”

While Vivek Oberoi told, “This is ground-breaking stuff and the first time I experienced it, it really rocked my world. The Bank-Chor gang is going to more than just tickle all your senses with this m-e-n-t-a-l experience. We also consulted famed numerologist from Chinchpokli, Baba Champak Chandrakant Chiplunkar, who advised us on 16th June being the right release date… now there’s no stopping us!”

The film has been directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil.

Talking about his forthcoming movie, Vivek told, "In my entire life both as an actor and a film watcher, I have yet to come across any character anywhere near to the character of Rai, it's like a dream come true for me to take the challenge of portraying the complex nuances of Rai's character. I thank RGV for giving me the opportunity to bring on to screen the greatest gangster ever! Called a criminal by some and a messiah by many, he is the ultimate symbol of justice! Feared, loved and respected he has become a legend in his own life time and he is on the way to become something much more greater than a legend."

On his part, Ram Gopal Varma told, "Any filmmaker is only as good as the subject matter he gets, With RAI I think I have the best subject matter I ever found in my entire career. In fact it's so good that I will have to work hard to spoil it. Mr. Muthappa Rai has renounced his earlier life of violence and now became a peaceful philanthropist working only for the welfare of the people, but my request to him is that if I spoil such a great story as Rai he should go back into violence and kill me. Rai for me is the story of an extraordinary man who lived, struggled and triumphed among extraordinary circumstances; it's the story of an ultimate real life hero."

Ram Gopal Varma's next film is Veerappan, which is slated to release on May 27.

RGV’s Company 2 with Vivek Oberoi to be a Trilingual!

Vivek Oberoi had made a hotheaded acting debut as gruff gangster Chandu Nagre in Ram Gopal Varma's underworld film Company and 15 years after the movie released, the two are teaming up for Company 2.

A thrilled Vivek told that Ramu is the go-to guy for a movie on the underworld and that he is quite thrilled about the movie, which he will be producing too. Vivek also added that the movie will be made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil and that it will go on floors in mid-2016. Fascinatingly, Vivek had been rejected by Ramu the first time they met because the latter thought the former was too suave and smooth to play a rustic gangster.

Company, which had also starred Ajay Devgn, Manisha Koirala and others, was based on the friendship and eventual rivalry between underworlds dons Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Rajan.
