Salman Khan, who is simply one of the leading stars in
Bollywood, senses that because of the rising ticket prices, the regional film
industry is becoming bigger than Bollywood!
Explaining on the same, Salman told, ''Ticket prices are
soaring so high that our footfalls have reduced and this will destroy our film
industry one day. Because of this, the industries that have been benefited are
Bhojpuri, Marathi, Punjabi and Gujarati film industries. All these industries
are making profits of 50 crore on 70 to 80 rupee tickets. We have not been able
to pull off a 300, 200 and even a 100 crore on a 250, 650 or 950 rupee ticket,
which is really sad. So I think these regional industries are much bigger than
our Hindi film industry.''
Salman will be next seen in YRF movie Sultan.
