Bollywood megastar Salman Khan, who is presently basking in
the success of his recent release Sultan, has some fresh misfortune on his
plate now, it seems.
News has it that Sabir Baba, a resident of Muzaffarpur, has
filed a case against Salman, Anushka Sharma and director Ali Abbas Zafar on the
grounds that Salman owes him a sum of Rs. 20 crore for making a movie based on
his life. In his complaint of cheating that has been filed against the team of
Sultan, Sabir has claimed that he had narrated his story to Salman Khan in
Mumbai in 2010 and the actor then promised him money if a movie was made based
on it.
The case has been filed under various sections of IPC
including 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 406
(punishment for criminal breach of trust), 504 (intentional insult with intent
to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
The case will be heard on July 26.
