Shreya Ghoshal records the first song for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'!

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has started work on his upcoming epic love story Padmavati. SLB, like his previous movies Bajirao Mastani and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, has composed music for this movie too and he recorded the first song of the film.

Singer Shreya Ghoshal, who started her career with Bhansali's Devdas, took to Twitter to share the news of recording a "landmark song" of her career from one of the "outstanding" compositions by the 53-year-old filmmaker. The 32-year-old singer posted, "Recorded a landmark song of my life today. Soul satisfying emotional joy ride. I live just to be able experience such moments!" The five-time National Award winning singer further added, "Wondering which song! What outstanding compositions Sanjay Bhansali sir has made for #Padmavati.Sang with all heart!"


Though there is no official announcement, it is speculated that Deepika Padukone has been roped in by the director for the title role. Apart from her, actor Ranveer Singh is also rumoured to be part of the epic love story which is based on life of Emperor Allauddin Khilji and Queen Padmavati. Ranveer is tipped to play the role of Alaluddin Khilji.
