A movie is currently in development that will detail the amazing life of cricket legend Yuvraj Singh, from his prodigious beginnings to his World Cup triumph and cancer battle. Together with Ravi Bhagchandka, Bhushan Kumar will bring this remarkable life to the big screen. Bhagchandka will co-produce the movie, which honours Yuvraj's illustrious career and tenacity, through 200 Not Out Cinema.

The next movie will pay tribute to Yuvraj Singh's remarkable cricketing legacy, including his inspirational battle with cancer and his famous six sixes in the 2007 T20 World Cup. It will pay homage to his extraordinary journey and noteworthy influence on the game. This project is Ravi Bhagchandka's second foray into the field of cricket biopics, after Sachin: A Billion Dreams, his 2017 documentary about Sachin Tendulkar. On Tuesday, August 20, the biopic was formally revealed via a post on T-Series Films' official Instagram account.

Yuvraj's audacious strategy and unwavering resolve have shaped his career in cricket. His strong left-handed batting and superb fielding have made him a fan favorite since he debuted on the international scene in 2000. His all-around abilities carried the team to glory during India's historic 2011 World Cup victory, and his impact continued into the Indian Premier League.

A cricket player's journey is shaped by more than simply his on-field accomplishments. Shortly following his World Cup victory in 2011, he received a cancer diagnosis. When faced with this potentially fatal situation, Yuvraj's valiant battle and victorious comeback to cricket in 2012 demonstrated his incredible fortitude.

Celebs mourn over Comedian Raju Srivastav’s sad demise!

Well-known comedian Raju Srivastav was one of the popular names in the Television and film industry. The comedy king passed away on 21^st September 2022. His death was confirmed by his family members. He suffered a heart attack on August 10 while excercising in a gym at a hotel. He was rushed to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and underwent angioplasty. Since then, he was on a ventilator and never gained consciousness. Politicians to celebrities have expressed their condolence on his death. Fans are also mourning his death and called him ‘Legend’. The late comedian had huge fans following due his comedy and sense of humor. He participated in the shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Cirkus, and The Kapil Sharma Show among others.

Renowned comedian Rajpal Yadav wrote, “I have no words to describe this loss. You have left us all too soon. You will be missed my brother. I just can’t believe this.” Actress Nimrat Kaur also took to her Twitter handle and expressed condolence, “Deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Late Raju Srivastava ji. Political leaders Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extends condolences on the demise of comedian Raju Srivastava. He wrote, “सुप्रसिद्ध हास्य कलाकार, राजू श्रीवास्तव जी के निधन से मुझे गहरा दुःख हुआ है। वे एक मंझे हुए कलाकार होने के साथ-साथ एक बेहद ज़िंदादिल इंसान भी थे। सामाजिक क्षेत्र में भी वे काफ़ी सक्रिय रहते थे। उनके शोकाकुल परिवार एवं प्रशंसकों के प्रति मैं अपनी संवेदना व्यक्त करता हूँ।ॐ शान्ति!”

Akhilesh Yadav wrote, “It’s regretful that Raju Srivastava is no more with us. He came from a poor family with his talent & hard work; created his presence in the world. Very few talented comedians like him. I remember how he wanted to contest from Kanpur when he joined SP.”

Home Minister Amit Shahji wrote, “सुप्रसिद्ध हास्य कलाकार राजू श्रीवास्तव जी का एक विशिष्ट अंदाज था, उन्होंने अपनी अद्भुत प्रतिभा से सभी को प्रभावित किया। उनका निधन कला जगत के लिए एक बड़ी क्षति है। मैं उनके परिजनों व प्रशंसकों के प्रति संवेदना व्यक्त करता हूँ। ईश्वर उन्हें यह दुःख सहने की शक्ति दें। ॐ शांति शांति”

Shailesh Lodha also shared an old picture with Raju Srivastava on his Instagram handle and penned a long note. Late Raju Srivastava rose to fame after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005.

John Abraham’s desire to explore sci-fi genre!

As per media updates, the sci-fi action movie 'Attack: Part 1', starring John Abraham, is all set to have its OTT premiere on May 27. 'Attack' is the first Indian super soldier movie that features high-octane action, romance, and drama. The movie, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandes and Rakul Preet, has been directed by Lakshya Raj Anand.

In a latest media chat, John talked about exploring the sci-fi genre in Bollywood and if he wished for other filmmakers to delve more into the genre. John was asked about his desire to explore sci-fi as a genre and his attempt to encourage more Indian filmmakers to consider this genre. John responded saying that he hasn’t let a way to inspire more filmmakers and actors to explore the genre of sci-fi and nor is he trying to give a competition to international action movies.

“Firstly, I am just doing what I believe in, so I am not encouraging filmmakers to explore a new genre. I just believe in this concept. Secondly, you can’t compete with Hollywood with their budgets. So, I am trying to make the best with the budgets I have,” John ended chat.

He clarified that even though at that point of time there was certain stuff that was going around - there were 30 movies being made and 15 actors to chase after them - he never looked at Fardeen as his competitor. He affectionately added that Fardeen was a bro and the two had extremely intellectual conversations with each other.

Zayed revealed that he’s been a good brother and the two never looked at each as competitors. “We should have seen professionalism and brotherhood differently and play the game like that but we didn’t,” Zayed ended chat.

Celebs mourn the sad demise of Santoor maestro Pandit Shivkumar Sharma!

The music industry lost a legend Santoor maestro Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. The Santoor maestro breathed his last at the age of 84 and passed away due to cardiac arrest on 10^th May 2022. As per media updates, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma was suffering from kidney-related ailments for the past six months and was on dialysis. In fact, he has been keeping a low profile ever since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country.

Ever since the news of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma’s ill-fated demise has surfaced, the social media is abuzz with tweets paying their condolences. Numerous celebrities from the Bollywood have also mourned the santoor maestro’s demise. Farhan Akhtar shared a photo of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma playing his santoor and wrote, "A major loss to the world of music and to us, the listeners. RIP Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma ji”. Adnan Sami also condoled the musical legend’s demise and posted, “I am devastated by the sad news of my Guru Pandit #ShivkumarSharma ji’s demise. He shared, “Our cultural world is poorer with the demise of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma Ji. He popularised the Santoor at a global level. His music will continue to enthrall the coming generations. I fondly remember my interactions with him. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

We’re not number two to anyone, says John Abraham on ‘Attack’ clashing with ‘RRR’!

Bollywood hunk John Abraham starrer Attack’s second trailer has been a complete entertainment package, like the first trailer. For the information, the film will clash with SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ which features Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and Alia Bhatt in important roles. During the trailer launch event, John talked about ‘Attack’ clashing with ‘RRR’.

Talking on the screens being divided between RRR and Attack, John Abraham revealed, “We are not number 2 to anyone. We have a lot of respect for Rajamouli Sir but we have equal respect for our work.” During the event, he also opened up on working on the second installment of Attack. He said, “We intend to make a part 2. We have got a script ready. You can only decide to make a part 2 when the studio part is on board. So, we signed on for Attack 2 with Jayanti Bhai even before the release of Attack. I can’t comment on the commercial success of Attack, as am no trade expert, but I can say that we have made a very good film.”

Beside John Abraham, Attack also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Prakash Raj, and Ratna Pathak Shah in the lead. Attack is scheduled to release on April 1, 2022.

Katrina Kaif to make unique pairing with Vijay Sethupathi for Merry Christmas!

As per latest media updates, director Sriram Raghavan announced that Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi will be featuring his next film Merry Christmas. But, producer Ramesh Taurani in a latest chat disclosed that this unique pairing is exactly what will work in the favour of the film.

Talking to a daily, producer Taurani explained on Vijay's casting and revealed, "Vijay suited the role perfectly so we approached him for this film. He is a fantastic actor and a big name down South." While particulars of the movie's story and characters is under wraps, Taurani further added that there was no other Bollywood actress that was being considered for the role. 

He furthermore revealed, "Katrina was always our only choice for the role right from the beginning." Sriram Raghavan, whose last release was Andhadhun with Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu, delivered the finest film of 2018.

Katrina started shooting for Merry Christmas just a few days after tying the knot with husband Vicky Kaushal.

 

Nagarjuna and family to attent function of adopting 1000 acres of forest for ANR park!

Recently, the Akkineni family including Naga Chaitanya, Akhil, Sushanth, Sumanth, Amala & others assembled together as Nagarjuna adopted 1,000 acres of forest in Chengicherla, in the Medachal district in Telangana. The Akkineni family attended the foundation laying ceremony and also shared photos on social media.

According to reports, the forest area will be converted into an urban forest park in honour of Nagarjuna's dad, Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Netizens respected Nagarjuna's gesture. The actor also posted photos of his family posing for photos from their foundation ceremony.

Earlier, on Bigg Boss Telugu 5 sets, Nagarjuna declared publicly about adopting the forest land and also urged everybody to participate in Green India Challenge.

Filmmaker Suneel Darshan files complaint against Google CEO over copyright infringement!

Well-known filmmaker Suneel Darshan, who wrote, directed and produced his 2017 romantic drama Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha, has now filed a case against Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Film Ek Rishtaa producer claims that his film has landed on YouTube illegitimately.  He claimed that he has not sold the film's rights to anyone and filed a case of alleged copyright infringement.

Film Jaanwar director further added that due to millions of views on his film on YouTube, he has not been profiting from it as he did not sell the film's rights. He also claimed that Google has refused to take the movie off those channels and thus filed a complaint against the parent company at the MIDC Police Station in Mumbai's Andheri.

In a latest chat with a media source, he revealed, "My faith and belief in the advancement of technology are implicit, but the infringement of my rights is a cause of grave concern. My entire copyrighted movie, apart from its songs and sequences from it, have been uploaded and monetised, and I have helplessly watched such illegal acts."

Darshan explained that it was only after his repeated requests went unanswered that he had to seek legal help. "Their actions and replies indicate they are well-versed in deflecting queries from my end," he told.

 

Varun Dhawan’s emotional note for man Friday and driver Manoj Sahu!

Recently, Bollywood star Varun Dhawan's man Friday and driver Manoj Sahu unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday due to a heart attack. Varun was seen at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai's Bandra where Manoj was rushed after feeling chest pain.  The 40-year-old driver breathed his last at 5.30 PM on Tuesday.

In an Instagram post, the Badlapur star penned an emotional note for his man Friday and wrote that he spent close to 26 years with him. Posting a video clip from his wax statue inauguration event where Varun called Manoj on stage, the grieved star wrote, "Manoj has been in my life for the last 26 years. He was my everything. I have no words to express my grief but all I want is people remember him for his amazing wit and humour and passion he had for life . I will always be grateful I had u in my life Manoj dada."

Kathak dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj’s sad demise at his home in Delhi!

Kathak legend Pandit Birju Maharaj died at his home in Delhi in the early hours of Monday after suffering a heart attack, according the media update. He was 83.

As per latest media reports, he died of a heart attack. Furthermore, he was playing with his grandsons at his residence when he fell unconscious. While he was rushed to the hospital soon after, the hospital authorities reportedly declared him brought dead. The reports also suggested that Pandit Birju Maharaj has been on dialysis after he was diagnosed with kidney disease a few days ago.

The news has been confirmed by the family members which has released a statement that reads as, “With profound grief and sorrow we inform the sad and untimely demise of our most beloved member of the family Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji. The noble soul left for his heavenly abode on 17th January 2022. Pray for the departed soul”.

 For the information, Pandit ji or Maharaj ji, as he was fondly referred as by his disciples, was one of the best known Kathak dancers in India. In fact, he was a descendant of the Maharaj family of Kathak dancers which includes his uncles Shambhu Maharaj, Lachhu Maharaj and his father Acchan Maharaj.

 While Pandit Birju Maharaj’s unfortunate demise has sent a wave of grief across the nation, fans and celebs are taking to social media to pay their condolence.

Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut has got the best birthday gift as she won the National Film Award for Best Actress for movies Panga and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The 67th National Film Awards were pronounced today.

The awards were announced by the Directorate of Film Festivals, that comes under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, for the year 2019.

'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' is a period drama based on the life of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, who played a key role in India's first battle of independence against the British in 1857. In the movie, directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, Ranaut played the lead role of the 19th-century warrior queen.

The Queen star has managed to bag her 4th National Award.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund in legal trouble!

Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund is getting some unwanted publicity.

An independent filmmaker named Nandi Chinni Kumar has sent legal notices to the Big B and the film’s makers Nagraj Manjule, Krishan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar, alleging copyright violation. According to Nandi, he’d acquired the exclusive rights to make a film about the slum soccer player Akhilesh Paul, and was blindsided when a movie about Paul’s coach Vijay Barse was announced. He adds that the two scripts are too similar for it to be a mere coincidence. It’ll be interesting to see what the courts decide.

That is what led to DP launching the new Charity Closet initiative on her Live Love Laugh Foundation’s website.
