Earlier, there had been news that YRF is planning to make
Sultan into a franchise series like Sylvester Stallone's Rocky and that Salman
will reprise his role as Haryanvi wrestler Sultan Ali Khan in the sequels too.
But, director Ali Abbas Zafar lately refuted the news and
told that with the love that the movie has got so far, he doesn't think it is
right to tamper with the love of the audience by making a sequel just for the
heck of it. Zafar further added that till the time he can find a bigger challenge
for his character to face, he will not think about making a sequel.
Sultan has set the cash registers ringing at the box-office
and has already crossed the 100 crore mark in just three days. The sports-drama
collected Rs. 36.54 crore on its opening day and Rs. 37.30 on Eid. Rs. 31.50
crore came in on Friday and now, the total stands at 105.34 crore.
