Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next Padmavati, is making all the
right kind of uproars in Bollywood. Like his earlier movie Bajirao Mastani,
this one too is touted to be a historical love story. Though there is no
official validation, rumors are widespread that Deepika Padukone has been roped
in by the director for the title role. Apart from her, actor Ranveer Singh is
also rumored to be a part of the epic love story which is based on the life of
Emperor Allauddin Khilji and Queen Padmavati. Ranveer is tipped to play the
role of Alaluddin Khilji.
Now the latest news doing the rounds is that actor Shahid
Kapoor has been roped in to play Deepika Padukone's on-screen husband Raja
Rawal Ratan Singh in the movie. As per the rumor mill, Bhansali wants Shahid to
play the Chittor King who is wedded to Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh.
Previously, there were rumors that a television actor was
signed to play Deepika's husband in the movie, but the seemingly the actress
didn't approve of it.
In addition, news has it, that Deepika and Ranveer would not
be seen sharing any scenes together in the movie. Deepika would be sharing some
intimate scenes with her husband in the film, and therefore, wants a bigger
star to play her on-screen husband.
The shooting of the film is likely to commence in September.
