We had informed that filmmaker Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn
are uniting again to take forward the Golmaal franchise. Now we have learned
that the next movie in the series will be based on the Tamil black comedy,
Soodhu Kavvum.
The 2013-film had Vijay Dethupathi and Sanchita Shetty in
the lead and it was directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. The movie revolved around
four friends and an imaginary character, who is only visible to the lead actor.
In Golmaal 4, the four friends will be supposedly played by Arshad Warsi,
Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu and Ajay Devgn.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has opted out of the movie due to
her pregnancy, was firstly tipped to play the female lead in the movie. The
makers are looking for an apt replacement who will play the imaginary friend of
the lead character played by Ajay.
Sources told that Rohit will make appropriate changes to
suit the sensibilities of Hindi viewers.
Rohit's last movie in the franchise, Golmaal 3, was also
inspired by Basu Chatterjee's Khatta Meetha.
