Actor Shahid Kapoor, who lately wrapped up filmmaker Vishal
Bhardwaj's Rangoon, told that only Bhardwaj had the vision to see him in a
serious role when other directors saw him as just a good looking guy.
Shahid and Vishal have teamed up for two flicks, Kaminey and
Haider, and in both movies Shahid has won praises for his power-packed act. The
actor told that Bhardwaj was the only one who had a different vision of him and
because of him other filmmakers and viewers have started looking at him more as
an actor.
In fact, in one of the interviews to magazine, the actor
called Bhardwaj his Martin Scorsese for changing his image and for giving him
the opportunities in his movies.
Shahid will be next seen in Udta Punjab, where he plays a
drug addict rockstar Tommy Singh. The movie is slated to release on June 17.
