Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut received numerous accolades for her incredible act in 2013 release Queen. The movie helmed by Vikas Bahl was critically acclaimed and created a huge impact among the audiences.

Now after four years of its release, the movie is set to be remade in Tamil. As per a famous tabloid, South siren, Tamannaah Bhatia has been roped in to essay the lead role. Speaking about it, Tamannaah eagerly specified, "Ever since I saw Queen, I wanted to be a part of its remake. What makes the film special is that it's one of those rare women-centric films which succeeded in reaching out to everybody, across all sections of the audience."

Tamannaah further added, "I felt liberated when I saw Queen, and I can't wait to start working on the remake. The fact that Revathi ma'am is directing it makes it even more special."

The film is set to be directed by actor-filmmaker Revathi who have directed a lot of women-centric movies. Furthermore, another actor-filmmaker Suhasini Mani Ratnam will be penning down the dialogues for the movie.

Speaking about it, Tamannaah told, "I think it's going to be a great combination. More than a remake, this will be treated as an adaptation as a lot of things have to be changed to suit Tamil sensibilities."
