Father-daughter Kamal Haasan and Shruti Haasan will feature in film titled 'Sabaash Kundu'!

A couple of days back we informed that actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan and his daughter Shruti will soon appear in a tri-lingual movie. Now, we learned that the veteran actor has titled the project Sabaash Naidu to be made in Tamil and Telugu, while the Hindi version will be called Sabaash Kundu.

Directed by T.K Rajeev Kumar, the film will feature Haasan and Shruti as father-daughter for the first time on the screen. The movie, which will be mainly shot in the US, is tipped to be a full-length comedy outing.

Apart from Kamal and Shruti, the movie also stars Ramya Krishnan, Saurabh Shukla among others.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is presently shooting for Shoojit Sircar's forthcoming movie Pink and he lately gave a rather sweet surprise to the film's team.

To appreciate all the hard work that they are putting in, Big B gifted all his colleagues with a copy of his biography. The 73-year-old lately shared a picture with his colleagues holding their copies of his biography and wrote, ''A gift to my colleagues for the incredible work they are doing in PINK .. just so much joy to see them!''

Present entrepreneur Muthappa Rai to reveal first look of RGV’s Rai!

Gangster-turned-entrepreneur, Muthappa Rai will be unveiling the first look of a biopic based on his life, which will be directed by ace director Ram Gopal Varma.

The look of the movie titled, RAI-The Greatest Gangster Ever, will be revealed on May 1 at Bidadi, Bengaluru. Actor Vivek Oberoi will play the title role in the movie which will be made in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu.

Known as the 'Godfather of Bangalore', Muthappa was involved in land mafia, extortion, etc, since the mid-80s. Though Muthappa is comparatively unknown outside Karnataka, RGV feels the gangster's story has sheer drama and dynamism.

The 54-year-old director told the movie will be extensively shot in Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai, Dubai and London.

Kangana is ready to end tiff with Hrithik affably!

After a spiteful few months in which allegations and legal notices were exchanged, it seems that Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut have lastly called a truce. A statement released on behalf of the Queen star indicated that the actress will not comment on the feud any longer and some "common" friends of the two actors are brokering peace. 

"We would like everyone to know that some common people have started intervening in the matter and want the matter to be resolved amicably," told Rizwan Siddiquee, the actress's lawyer. He also told that the actors and their reps would no longer be speaking to the press regarding the issue. "Therefore, to end the matter on a positive note we shall not be giving any further statement to the media on the said matter, as the same has also been assured from their side," he told.

The fight between the two actors started after Kangana hinted at Hrithik being her "ex", saying in an interview that she fails to understand "why exes do silly things to get your attention". Following that a complaint by Hrithik against an alleged impostor turned the issue into an ugly public spat and legal battle between the two stars which ended in allegations and counter-allegations against each other every other day.

Shreyas Talpade's 'Poshter Boyz' Hindi remake with Sunny and Bobby Deol!

Actor Shreyas Talpade is all set to make his directorial debut with the Hindi remake of his 2014 Marathi movie, Poshter Boyz. Entertainingly, Shreyas has roped in Sunny Deol and his younger brother Bobby to star in the comedy movie. Shreyas himself will also act in the movie.

The Marathi movie is a humorous take on a key social issue of vasectomy where three individuals find themselves brought together in an uncomfortable situation that has a serious effect on their day-to-day life. Confirming the development, Shreyas told that ever since the Marathi film released and he had planned to remake the film in Hindi to reach out to wider viewers. He added that Sunny and Bobby are ideal for the role as both have a macho, tough-guy image.

Shreyas has penned the script for the Hindi audience, but he further added that he has not changed the core of movie.

Katrina turns down Salman’s offer!

Earlier we had informed that Katrina Kaif has bagged a role in a forthcoming project which is being jointly produced by Salman Khan Productions and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

But, the actress has turned down the movie as it is clashing with the dates of another movie that she is doing. Sources told that she was approached for the film and she was a perfect fit for the role, but the actress has committed her time on a bigger project she has signed. The movie will be helmed by Tarun Mansukhani, who last directed Dostana in 2008.

In the meantime, the makers have signed Jacqueline Fernandez for the movie, which will also star Sushant Singh Rajput. The film is rumoured to be a Fast and Furious-style racing drama.

Ranveer wants to get writers on payroll and encourage them!

Actor Ranveer Singh, who mesmerized everyone with his act as Peshwa leader Bajirao in Bajirao Mastani, feels that there is shortage of writers and original content in the film industry and he now wants to venture into content development.

The actor has been mostly part of commercial money spinners, but he has never been averse to unconventional subjects. Speaking to a leading daily, the actor told that he is looking to cultivate original content and writing talent as he feels there is a dearth of writers since the writers don't have enough motivation and are not paid enough.

The Gunday actor further added that viewers want to see good movies and the spine of a successful film is good writing. He added that he will get writers on payroll and encourage them to find new subjects and write exciting scripts.

Ranveer will be seen next opposite Vaani Kapoor in Befikre, which is slated to release on December 9.

Varun Dhawan to dance to Salman's iconic numbers in 'Judwaa 2'!

We have previously informed that actor Varun Dhawan will be seen in a double role in Judwaa 2, the sequel to his father David Dhawan's movie Judwaa, which had starred Salman Khan.

But, what many might not know is that the sequel might also feature two famous tracks from the prequel! Judwaa 2 will see Varun dancing to the songs Oonchi hai building and Chalti hai kya nau se barah, which were in the prequel and had featured Salman.

Now, it remains to be seen whether Varun will ape Salman's signature moves or will bring something new to the dance floor.

SRK's 'method acting' scared his staffers on 'Raees' sets!

Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan, who will be seen playing a realistic gangster in forthcoming movie Raees, seemingly turned into a method actor on the sets of the movie and ended up terrifying his staffers!

Explaining on the same, Khan told that though he is not a method actor, who stays in character even when he is not shooting, he had to get into a certain intense zone to essay his character and his behavior would scare his staffers, who would assume that their boss is in a bad mood.

Approving the news, Khan told with a laugh that he was quite amused when one staffer told that they feel reluctant to approach him as he seems in a grumpy mood nowadays, an observation that was made by the director Rahul Dholakia too.

Khan will be joined by Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Raees, which releases this Eid.

No Cannes for Katrina this year!

Katrina Kaif marked her Cannes debut last year but, this year the Katrina will give it a miss because of her work promises.

Approving the news, Katrina released a statement which reads. ''Cannes is a fabulous platform for any artist to attend, and I really enjoyed the experience last year. While the brand invited me to attend Cannes again this year, I have had to regretfully decline the opportunity due to prior commitments. This has been an enormously busy year for me so far and I am working on some amazing projects which are really keeping me on my toes. Although, I will be missing Cannes this year, I wish that the lovely L’Oréal Paris ambassadors, who will proudly represent India the very best and I hope to attend next year.''

Rai says that he chose the King Khan to play the lead role because no one understands ordinariness better than Khan. Rai further added that he also needed someone who would look confident and sure despite being a dwarf, so he cast SRK to play a person, who is just three feet one inch tall.

Revealed: Why Salman agreed to star in 'Sultan'!

Megastar Salman Khan's forthcoming movie Sultan has created a huge buzz on the Internet, particularly after the teaser release of the movie. But, do you know why Bhaijaan signed the YRF film? The 50-year-old actor disclosed that he signed the project to 'enjoy the pain of learning'.

Lately, during a media interaction at the event where Salman was named the Goodwill Ambassador for Indian contingent at Rio Olympics 2016, the actor told that he envies the sportsmen and athletes who get to push themselves in their respective sport. Akshay Kumar was one of the first actors in Bollywood to introduce parkour to the silver screen and it seems like Ali Fazal too has taken a leaf out of the Khiladi's book.

We have learned that the actor has signed up with a group in Mumbai around where in lives for a weekend training in parkour action. Confirming the same, Fazal told, ''"I love experimenting with my work outs. Cannot imagine myself as only a gym rat. Thus a friend of mine actually came across a parkour group on Facebook and I instantly got in touch with them. I have just started to train and boy, it's amazingly difficult. What I immensely love about parkour is that it looks artistic and at the same time, it is a great fitness activity."

Tiger Shroff mesmerized us all with his martial art skills in his debut movie Heropanti and the young lad is all set to kick butt in his forthcoming movie Baaghi. But, despite his penchant for high flying kicks and gravity-defying stunt sequences, Tiger claims to be quite a non-violent person!

In an interview to a daily, Tiger told that unlike his macho father, he is quite peace-loving and would often run away when confronted by bullies in school. Tiger also added that though he loves watching action on screen, he is quite non-violent and doesn't believe in fighting just because he is a trained martial artist and can fight.

Tiger will be paired opposite Shraddha Kapoor in Baaghi, which releases this weekend.

I was very nervous about doing 'Housefull 3', says Abhishek Bachchan!

Abhishek Bachchan, who will join Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh for laugh riot Housefull 3, in which he plays a rapper, frankly confessed that he was quite anxious about working in the movie.

At a latest event, AB Junior told that as his co-stars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh are known for their overwhelming comic timing, he was worried about whether he would be able to match up to them. Bachchan but added that he had a great time working in the movie.

Housefull 3, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon, is slated to release on June 3.

Vikramaditya Motwane to direct 'Chakra The Invincible' based on Stan Lee's creation!

Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane has teamed up with famous comic-book writer Stan Lee to bring the Indian superhero comic, Chakra The Invincible to the big screens.  Along with the creative partner on the project, Sharad Devarajan, Motwane has already started working on its screenplay with Lee for a live-action movie.

Motwane told that he's honoured and thrilled to be making a movie based on a character co-created by Stan Lee. He added that he hopes to take comic book filmmaking to the next level with the film.

Lee has created iconic superheroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, X-Men, The Hulk, The Fantastic Four, etc, which dominate the film industry. Lee is a self-acclaimed Bollywood fan and he is thrilled about the project. According to reports, the movie is set in Mumbai and will see an older version of Chakra, who is in his early twenties.

Actor-producer John Abraham, who tied the knot with banker Priya Runchal in 2013, lately hinted that though he is enjoying his marital life, he might not embrace fatherhood.

In an interview to a daily, 'Action Abraham' told that he hasn't thought about children as he feels that the world is quite overpopulated anyway and he feels that in such a situation, adopting a homeless kid and giving the child a home seems like a better option than having kids.

Is Sangeeta Bijlani planning to sue 'Azhar' makers?

The makers of forthcoming biopic Azhar introduced Nargis Fakhri's character with the song Oye Oye (Nargis is playing Sangeeta Bijlani, who was Mohammad Azharuddin's second wife) and it seems that Sangeeta is already gearing up for a legal fight.

Sources inform that Sangeeta was not consulted about Azhar or the role that Nargis is playing in the movie and that she is planning to sue the makers if the movie shows her in a poor light. But, some reveal that when Sangeeta was approached by the makers of the film for her help, she did not show any interest and remained aloof about the project.

Azhar, which is based on the life of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role.

Sarbjit Singh's real sister Dalbir Kaur broke down after seeing Sarbjit's trailer!

The powerful trailer of Omung Kumar's forthcoming biopic Sarbjit, which is based on the life of slain Indian prisoner Sarbjit Singh, who spent 22-years in a Pakistani jail on false espionage charges, was lately unveiled and it has not only moved the viewers but it also made the real-life Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur very emotional.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is playing Dalbir Kaur's role in the movie and the latter is thankful to the actress for translating her journey so well on-screen. Dalbir tells, ''The trailer of the film Sarbjit was enough for me and my whole family to see our hurtful journey play out in front of our eyes. We all had tears in our eyes because everyone's performance is very impactful.  As the characters moved, we could see ourselves in them and I cannot express the kind of emotions we felt at that time. It was difficult to be reminded of all that had happened, but we are happy that the nation will know our story now and hope that they will make sure something like this doesn't happen to any other family in future.''

She further adds ''Everyone is amazed by the posters and the trailer that is all over the news. RGV advices Shahrukh to stop experimenting and be like Salman instead!

We had informed that Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan will team up with Aanand L Rai for the very first time in a movie, in which he will play a midget and though everyone is excited about seeing SRK attempt something he has never done before, eccentric filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma feels that Khan is making a big mistake with this step.

Varma told, ''Megastar SRK becoming ordinary fan,dwarf etc is as big a same blunder as what Kamal Haasan did to lose his stardom to Rajinikant (Salman Khan). Grt actrs r dime a dozen in NSD, Stage etc whereas Stars like SRK come blessed by God/Allah/Buddha etc,which is what SRK is not realizing. SRK must learn from mistakes of kamal and not listen to near n dear ones who are stopping him from becoming a Mega Rajinikant. Shahid and Ranveer to be play Ram and Lakhan in 'Ram Lakhan' remake!

Ever since the remake of the 1989 hit Ram Lakhan was declared, names of several actors are doing the rounds to be cast in the title roles. While Ranveer Singh is a contender to portray the role of the young and energetic Lakhan, the makers of the film have been looking for the right actor to play the role of the elder brother, which was played by Jackie Shroff in the original movie.

Now, we hear that actor Shahid Kapoor is a front-runner to bag the role of Ram in the movie, which will be helmed by Rohit Shetty and co-produced by Dharma Productions. But, the director has said that he is still finalizing the script and no actors have been finalized yet.

The makers are also looking for two actresses to reprise the roles of Madhuri Dixit Nene and Dimple Kapadia. The movie is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.

Raman Raghav 2.0’s dark, violent and gritty look!

The teaser posters of Anurag Kashyap's upcoming film Raman Raghav 2.0 have been unveiled on the social media and it marks Kashyap's return to his familiar territory.

The posters give us a feel that the film, which is based on the notorious serial killer Raman Raghav who terrorised Mumbai during the mid-1960s, is going to be dark, violent and gritty.

Kashyap took to Twitter to share the two teaser posters on Sunday. The serial killer role is being played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, while Vicky Kaushal is playing the role of a cop in the film.

'Housefull 3' posters guarantee three times more laughter than previous ones!

The much anticipated promo of Housefull 3 was finally revealed yesterday and one thing that clearly stands out is the franchise factor. Whether it was Housefull or Housefull 2, the common factor in there was the comedy of errors, courtesy the coming together of the whole cast in one house, and the confusion that followed. Now one look at Houseful 3, which has Farhad-Sajidat the helm of affairs, and you know that producer Sajid Nadiadwala has the template cut out for third in the series.

What is complimenting the core plotline of the movie are the moments, one liners and slapstick activities on screen which ensure that there is quite some fun that one can expect in the there. Of course, leading the pack here is Akshay Kumar who shows once more what a fantastic actor he is, especially when one sees his versatility on display after the award winning performance in this year's biggest Bollywood success, Airlift. He raises the scene to an altogether different level with his goofy act that sets the fun element going. As for Riteish, another regular with the Housefull franchise that is backed by Eros, you get what you expect from him and yet again you realise that he has an impeccable comic timing that is matchless. As for Abhishek Bachchan, he is happy to be the new kid on the block when it comes to the Housefull franchise and even allows a joke on him for the same.

As for the jokes, there are quite a few that have been filled in this three minute promo, the one around '5000 crore ka loan' topping the line. On the other hand the women in there, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon, do well to up the glamor quotient, something that is an integral element of the franchise.

This is where director duo of Farhad and Sajid seem to be sticking to the plan as they do not deviate from what has been the core strength of the franchise and add on further fun element that should keep the Box Office happy this Summer. Moreover, with Boman Irani in his characteristic part, Jackie Shroff bringing on further weight to the proceedings and the ultimate round up happening with Chunkey Pandey aka Aakhri Pasta, you know that the team here is, well, just joking!

I would love to work with Shahid also, says Kareena Kapoor Khan!

Ever since their split in 2007, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor have played the avoidance game. Lately, at the trailer launch of their forthcoming movie Udta Punjab, the former flames came face to face and maintained a safe distance.

But, when questioned about her openness to work with her Jab We Met co-star, Kareena told that she would love to work with Shahid. According to her, it is an outdated concept that people who have dated cannot work together. She also said that they are professionals and she would not let her emotions come in the way of work.

Kareena and Shahid don't share screen-space in Udta Punjab, which releases on June 17.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan will be India's goodwill ambassador for the forthcoming Rio Olympics, which will kick-start from August 5.

According to news, this is the first time that a Bollywood superstar has been roped in to represent the Indian contingent as a goodwill ambassador for the world's prestigious sporting event.

The 50-year-old actor is presently shooting his sports-oriented movie Sultan, where he plays a wrestler from Haryana.

Manoj Bajpayee to get Dadasaheb Phalke award for 'Aligarh'!

Manoj Bajpayee has much more to celebrate than just his birthday. The actor has conferred with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his act in Hansal Mehta’s Aligarh.

The movie is a biographical drama and the 47-year-old has essayed the role of late Professor Siras, who taught Marathi at Aligarh Muslim University in the critically acclaimed film. Siras was sacked from his position on charges of homosexuality. After it was announced that he will be receiving the award, an overwhelmed Bajpayee, stated, ''Thank you for your tremendous appreciation and love. Feeling extremely honoured.''

Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan, who played a megastar named Aryan Khanna and his lookalike fan named Gaurav Chandana in YRF film Fan, impressed everybody with his portrayal of the obsessed fan, but did you know that his look in the movie was inspired by none other than Hollywood megastar Brad Pitt!?

Hollywood make-up wizard Greg Cannom tells, ''I was confused about how to make Shah Rukh Khan look younger and I looked around my studio and I have the heads (moulds) of all these different actors and I saw Brad's. Brad Pitt is very good looking but he has a very unusual cheek and jaw structure. So I gave him (Gaurav) Brad's cheeks.''

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Fan revolved around a lookalike of a star, who gets obsessed with his idol and goes on a rampage, when his affection is rebuffed by the star.

After the success of his previous movie Wazir, director Bejoy Nambiar is busy penning the script of his next. Nambiar is presently working on the remake of Mani Ratnam's 1988 movie, Agni Natchathiram, for the Hindi audience.

Nambiar, who has worked as an assistant director with Mani Ratnam, told that the Hindi remake will be a modern reboot of the Tamil movie. Agni Natchathiram is a tale of two brothers, one who is legitimate, and how their relationship transforms with time has been brought out powerfully by the veteran director. Produced by Madras Talkies, the film was a blockbuster and completed a 200-day run at the box office.

Nambiar added that the cast of the movie will be decided once he finalises the script. His last release Wazir had superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles.

Sunny Leone's special e-book Fifty Shades Of Grey!

Actress Sunny Leone has a different kind of release on the cards this Friday. Sunny, who lately did an item number for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees, has turned author and will be releasing her first book, Sweet Dreams, on April 22.

The e-book, which will be release online, is a collection of seven romantic, erotic stories penned by the former adult movie star. Seemingly, the publishers brief to Sunny was to have elements similar to the 2011 erotic romance novel Fifty Shades of Grey while writing these stories.

Sunny also wrote a little teaser from a short story titled Seat 7E. ''He leaned over and whispered for me to undo the top button of my blouse. I decided to go one step further…'' If this is a teaser of the book, let you imagination run wild for what the rest of the story holds.

OMG! Katrina bags Salman Khan Productions’ movie!

News is that Katrina Kaif, who is believed to be going through a low phase after her so-called split with Ranbir Kapoor, has bagged a Salman Khan Productions' movie. But, fans will be saddened to know that the Ek Tha Tiger pair will not be sharing screen-space in this one.

Tarun Mansukhani, who last directed Dostana in 2008, will helm this movie. While they are still looking for a male lead, rumor mill is abuzz with news that Sushant Singh Rajput could be signed for the project.

Katrina will be seen in Jagga Jasoos opposite Ranbir Kapoor, which releases in August this year.

Radhika Apte wins the best actress award for role in Madly at Tribeca Film Festival!

Radhika Apte won the Best Actress Award in an International Narrative Feature category at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival for her role in Madly.

Madly is an anthology comprising six short stories, directed by six different directors and Radhika won the award for her power-packed act in Clean Shaven, a part of Madly, directed by Anurag Kashyap.

An overjoyed Anurag announced the news, sharing, ''Radhika Apte wins best actress at TriBeCa in dramatic competition for a 20min short from the anthology MADLY beating all feature actresses.''

In the meantime, Radhika is gearing up for her next Bollywood release Phobia.
