After the success of his previous movie Wazir, director
Bejoy Nambiar is busy penning the script of his next. Nambiar is presently
working on the remake of Mani Ratnam's 1988 movie, Agni Natchathiram, for the
Hindi audience.
Nambiar, who has worked as an assistant director with Mani
Ratnam, told that the Hindi remake will be a modern reboot of the Tamil movie.
Agni Natchathiram is a tale of two brothers, one who is legitimate, and how
their relationship transforms with time has been brought out powerfully by the
veteran director. Produced by Madras Talkies, the film was a blockbuster and
completed a 200-day run at the box office.
Nambiar added that the cast of the movie will be decided
once he finalises the script. His last release Wazir had superstar Amitabh
Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles.
