Nargis Fakhri reveal about her hiatus from Bollywood!

Bollywood’s actress Nargis Fakhri, who was last seen in Torbaaz along with Sanjay Dutt, has largely been away from the silver screen. The Rockstar actress, who lives in New York with her family, recently disclosed that she was overworked and stressed a few years ago. This resulted in Nargis taking a long break from the Bollywood.

Talking to a daily, the actress disclosed that she had planned on returning to Mumbai in 2020 to begin her projects. But the pandemic deferred her plans and she had to wait it out for another two years. Remembering the time, Nargis revealed, "In March 2020, I had joined a 10-day meditation retreat, and when that ended, and I came out, I was shocked to see that life had come to a standstill. I had a ticket to come back to Mumbai in April 2020, but look at the irony, I was all set to take over the world, but the world had shut down."

When questioned about her decision to leave her Bollywood career and return to New York, Nargis disclosed her mental health was not in the best condition. "Somewhere down the line, I realised that I was overworked and stressed. I missed my family and friends. I remember that 2016-2017 was a period of realisation for me. I felt that I wasn’t doing things that made me happy. I did films back-to-back and thought there was just too much happening, and I needed to stop. I felt the need to pause to balance my mind and body. And that’s when I took the step," Nargis told.

More comfortable in non-glamorous roles, reveals Nargis Fakhri!

Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, who featured in glamorous roles in movies like "Main Tera Hero", "Azhar" and "Housefull 3", reveals she is more comfortable doing non-glamorous parts.

The actress walked for designer Anushree Reddy on the fourth day of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2017, sporting a fuller frame.

A question on whether she is comfortable doing de-glam roles, Nargis told, "Yeah sure, why not. It takes less time to get ready (laughed). I am actually much more comfortable in an non-glamorous roles."

She also told that coming from New York, she always believed in easy styling and hates when people make a faux paus.

"Coming from New York City, we wear what we feel like wearing and we use fashion as a way to express ourselves and create our own identity. Something I dislike is when certain people deem certain things unfashionable or a faux pas.

"Fashion is an art and everyone has different kind of taste. I prefer to wear gym clothes all day every day because it's comfortable and casual," she told. 

Nargis Fakhri criticizes wedding stories with Uday Chopra!

Filmamker and actor Uday Chopra and his rumoured lady love Nargis Fakhri were spotted together at the airport few days back, giving rise to conjectures that something might be cooking between the two.

The two stars have been linked together for quite some time now, especially after they were spotted chilling together in Maldives. However, there is nothing official that the two have pronounced.

Fascinatingly, last year, when Nargis suffered a breakdown of sorts during the promotions and release of Azhar and Housefull 3, media was abuz with news that it was Uday Chopra because of whom Nargis left India, leaving her producers helpless.

Seemingly, she was keen on getting wedded to Uday but he refused to settle down with her. That triggered some panic for Nargis, who flew down to the USA in a jiffy. Reports were even rife that Uday had decided to breakup with his lady love.

But, when the paparazzi spotted them last week at the airport, people wondered what's up with the on-off couple. Yesterday, a leading publication carried an article that said that the two are not only spotted together but they might soon be getting married.

And while one waited for a formal pronouncement, Nargis did take to Twitter, but slammed the news.

She wrote, "Wow u guys really love making stuff up. now who started this rumor. I think u r dying for me to marry someone."

Nargis Fakhri’s audition for America's Next Top Model goes viral!

Nargis Fakhri, who is now a famous Bollywood actress, had auditioned for America's Next Top Model in 2004 and at the time she was a young, nervous and aspiring 24-year-old model.

A video that displays her auditioning for the popular talent hunt has now surfaced and has gone viral online. In the video, Nargis is seen auditioning before supermodel Tyra Banks and she's not the confident woman that we know today. She is seen fumbling and telling the judges that she doesn't have a role model as modeling is 'just a job' for her.

Though Nargis failed to make the cut, she has assuredly come a long way.

Nargis Fakhri gets another Hollywood project!

Nargis Fakhri, who had bagged a small role in Hollywood multi-starrer Spy starring Mellissa McCarthy, Jude Law, Jason Stathamand others, has now bagged another Hollywood project in which she will play the lead role, we overhear.

News has it that Nargis Fakhri will be seen playing a reporter doing a story on Indian weddings in a movie, which will be directed by Namrata Singh Gujral and will star Oscar nominee Candy Clark and Golden Globe nominee Bo Derek. Approving the same, Nargis told that she accepted the project as she could identify with her character, who is forced to connect with her roots. The movie will be shot in the US and India at the end of the year.

Currently, Nargis was last seen in a cameo in Rohit Dhawan's Dishoom.

Nargis Fakhri has left for New York after called off the marriage?

News has it that Nargis Fakhri has left for New York as she is suffering from numerous ailments but rumor mill suggests that she is actually nursing her broken heart there.

Seemingly, Nargis was soon to tie the knot with her alleged boyfriend Uday Chopra and she was soon going to make the announcement but Uday had a change of mind and he lately called off the marriage and this led to her nervous breakdown.

A source has been quoted telling that firstly Uday was keen to marry her but at that point Nargis wanted to focus on her career but now 'tables have turned'. We overhear that she had a huge fight with Uday after their break-up and left for New York 'almost overnight'.

The trouble in their paradise has not only affected Nargis but also the producers of her movies as she has left them in lurch. While she remained unapproachable for Azhar's promotions, the makers of her next Housefull 3 and Banjo too are in a fix.

Is Sangeeta Bijlani planning to sue 'Azhar' makers?

The makers of forthcoming biopic Azhar introduced Nargis Fakhri's character with the song Oye Oye (Nargis is playing Sangeeta Bijlani, who was Mohammad Azharuddin's second wife) and it seems that Sangeeta is already gearing up for a legal fight.

Sources inform that Sangeeta was not consulted about Azhar or the role that Nargis is playing in the movie and that she is planning to sue the makers if the movie shows her in a poor light. But, some reveal that when Sangeeta was approached by the makers of the film for her help, she did not show any interest and remained aloof about the project.

Azhar, which is based on the life of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role.

'Housefull 3' posters guarantee three times more laughter than previous ones!

The much anticipated promo of Housefull 3 was finally revealed yesterday and one thing that clearly stands out is the franchise factor. Whether it was Housefull or Housefull 2, the common factor in there was the comedy of errors, courtesy the coming together of the whole cast in one house, and the confusion that followed. Now one look at Houseful 3, which has Farhad-Sajidat the helm of affairs, and you know that producer Sajid Nadiadwala has the template cut out for third in the series.

What is complimenting the core plotline of the movie are the moments, one liners and slapstick activities on screen which ensure that there is quite some fun that one can expect in the there. Of course, leading the pack here is Akshay Kumar who shows once more what a fantastic actor he is, especially when one sees his versatility on display after the award winning performance in this year's biggest Bollywood success, Airlift. He raises the scene to an altogether different level with his goofy act that sets the fun element going. As for Riteish, another regular with the Housefull franchise that is backed by Eros, you get what you expect from him and yet again you realise that he has an impeccable comic timing that is matchless. As for Abhishek Bachchan, he is happy to be the new kid on the block when it comes to the Housefull franchise and even allows a joke on him for the same.

As for the jokes, there are quite a few that have been filled in this three minute promo, the one around '5000 crore ka loan' topping the line. On the other hand the women in there, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon, do well to up the glamor quotient, something that is an integral element of the franchise.

This is where director duo of Farhad and Sajid seem to be sticking to the plan as they do not deviate from what has been the core strength of the franchise and add on further fun element that should keep the Box Office happy this Summer. Moreover, with Boman Irani in his characteristic part, Jackie Shroff bringing on further weight to the proceedings and the ultimate round up happening with Chunkey Pandey aka Aakhri Pasta, you know that the team here is, well, just joking!

Nargis Fakhri spotted in a pink bathrobe and bathroom slippers on Mumbai streets!

Actress Nargis Fakhri, who had made her Bollywood debut with Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor, lately raised quite a few eyebrows when she was spotted walking on a street in Mumbai in a pink bathrobe and bathroom slippers!

The actress took to Instagram to share the video with her fans and shared: “Nothing feels better than walking around in a bathrobe and slippers in the city.”

But, before all you readers out there assume that the actress has lost her minds, let us promise you that it was just to shoot for a sequence of her forthcoming movie Banjo, in which she will be paired opposite Riteish Deshmukh.

In the movie, Nargis will be seen the role of a DJ from New York City, who comes to Mumbai and teams up with a local band musician.

Varun, John, Saqib and Nargis Fakhri have a gala time on Dishoom sets!

It's all fun and games for Team Dishoom - John Abraham, Nargis Fakhri and Varun Dhawan. It looks that the actors are making the most of their time on the sets of Dishoom.

Presently the cast and crew is in Abu Dhabi shooting. Nargis has shared a lot of pics on her Instagram account and it is pretty clear that she is having a lot of fun at the shoot along with John, Varun and Saqib Saleem.

Varun too has shared a pic on his Instagram welcoming Nargis to Dishoom.

Even Saqib Saleem added an image with Nargis Fakhri on his Instagram account and captioned it, "@nargisfakhri pouts and i just flex my biceps!! Things actors do waiting for their shot..#dishoom (sic)".

Nargis will be seen doing a guest appearance in the forthcoming film.

It is obvious that Team Dishoom is having a fun time whilst shooting it. Let's hope the movie turns out to be as enjoyable too.

Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri begin shoot for 'Banjo'!

The shooting for the Riteish Deshmukh, Nargis Fakhri starrer Banjo has begun.

Riteish, who is also working for the third instalment of the "Housefull" franchise, posted, “And the shoot for BANJO begins - @NargisFakhri@meranamravi @ErosNow @LukeKennyLIVE”

  

Previously too, Riteish had shared a picture of a Banjo which the director had gifted him on Twitter.

Directed by Ravi Jadhav, Banjo also stars actor Luke Kenny, who played one of the four key characters in the 2008 film Rock On!!.

Actress Nargis Fakhri, who made her Bollywood acting debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar, lately took to Twitter to talk about her addiction.

Before all you readers out there start assuming the nastiest, let us assure you that Nargis was talking about travelling when she opened up about her addiction. Taking to Twitter, Nargis wrote, ''Im Addicted......... to traveling.... I can't stop.... insatiable hungry to constantly move around the world... dreaming of south america.''

Nargis was last seen in a special song in the Salman Khan starrer Kick.
