Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane has teamed up with famous comic-book
writer Stan Lee to bring the Indian superhero comic, Chakra The Invincible to
the big screens. Along with the creative
partner on the project, Sharad Devarajan, Motwane has already started working
on its screenplay with Lee for a live-action movie.
Motwane told that he's honoured and thrilled to be making a movie
based on a character co-created by Stan Lee. He added that he hopes to take
comic book filmmaking to the next level with the film.
Lee has created iconic superheroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man,
X-Men, The Hulk, The Fantastic Four, etc, which dominate the film industry. Lee
is a self-acclaimed Bollywood fan and he is thrilled about the project.
According to reports, the movie is set in Mumbai and will see an older version
of Chakra, who is in his early twenties.
