TV star Disha Parmar resumes shooting just 4 days after her father’s demise!



TV star Disha Parmar who is presently seen in Woh... Apna Sa is personally going through a stressed period. The actress' father who was seriously ill, lately passed away in Delhi.  Having suffered the greatest loss of her life, the actress was naturally broken. But, not one to let responsibilities suffer in the face of hardship, Disha resumed shooting just 4 days after her father’s demise.

Apart from being greatly gifted, the actress is also very passionate about her work and believes being immersed in work is the biggest healer and helps her cope with her loss better. She says, “There’s probably no loss bigger than losing one’s own father. But, my family and I seek comfort in knowing that he’s in a better place today, feeling no pain. He meant the world to me and it is his principles that I live by when I resume shooting barely 4 days after he’s left us. He always taught us to place one’s responsibilities above everything else. He imbibed the importance of fulfilling one’s duties before tending to one’s emotions or problems. And its true, it is helping me cope with his loss better!”

Disha’s co-star in the show - Ssudeep Sahir told, “Our prayers are with Disha’s father. Hope his soul rests in peace. It is Disha’s thorough professionalism and maturity as an artiste that has brought her back to the sets so soon after such a monumental loss. Anyone else in her place would have taken their time before resuming shoot. But Disha, aware of how difficult it would be for the production team to carry on without her, has placed the show above her loss. Kudos to her for that! We have always known Disha for her impeccable work ethic and with this gesture, she’s proven yet again why we love her so much!”


The complete cast and crew of Woh… Apna Sa is a close-knit family not just on screen but even off screen. So the crew rallied around to ensure that Disha was least inconvenienced in her hour of distress. May Disha’s father’s soul rest in peace!
