Ranbir gets bonus from SRK for suggesting Jab Harry Met Sejal title!

Ranbir Kapoor is presently geared up for the promotions of his forthcoming movie Jagga Jasoos which also stars his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. The twosome has been going out and about promoting the film together.

The film's trailer released last year and it received a lot of appreciation, particularly for the treatment of its characters.

Lately, Ranbir in an interview to a famous news agency, disclosed that Shah Rukh Khan was the first person to call him and congratulate him for trying something new.

"When the teaser came out, Shah Rukh sir was the first person to call me and Anurag dada. He was extremely excited and happy that a film like this is being made in Bollywood. I think he was also very generous with the kind of love and praise he was giving," Ranbir said a famous news agency.

He further included, "For us, it was a confidence boost that the King of Bollywood is saying such things for our film. So, I am very grateful to him."

He also thanked SRK for memorizing his promise and settling his due of Rs 5000 for suggesting the Jab Harry Met Sejal title.

For those uninitiated, SRK had disclosed that it was Ranbir who had suggested the title while they were all present discussing it. However, SRK had cautioned people to not believe him so that they don't have to pay him the due. Later, Ranbir said that he was unaware of the reward and will now definitely come to Mannat to receive it. So, when SRK and Ranbir met at Imtiaz Ali's birthday bash, the former settled his due.

Replying to this, Ranbir told, "I am also grateful he kept his promise and settled my long pending due! When we met at Imtiaz Ali's party, he remembered and gave me not Rs. 5000 but Rs. 6000. He gave me a Rs. 1000 bonus! So, thank you sir!"

Directed by Anurag Basu, Jagga Jasoos is finally set to hit theatres on July 14, 2017.
