Is Sakshi’s Bollywood debut delaying due to Sanjay Leela Bhansali?

Late actor Vinod Khanna's youngest son Sakshi Khanna was supposed to be launched in 2016 by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali but it is now mid-2017 and unluckily, there is no news of Sanjay Leela Bhansali providing a launch pad to the young guy.

If the news are to be believed, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had zeroed in on a script that would launch Sakshi, but the movie hasn't managed to take off.

A close source told, “Sakshi was assistant director on Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani (2015). He has been debut-ready since last February, when the film was supposed to roll. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra was to direct the romantic musical, but Bhansali is taking his time to decide if he wishes to bank on two newcomers. Since it's an expensive project, the filmmaker wants to take his time."

As per a famous tabloid, there is news that the script could undergo an overhaul. In the meantime, stories are widespread that restless with the delay, Sakshi has approached another production bigwig for his Bollywood break.

The little birdies also disclosed the details that Sakshi Khanna has done a screen test for Dharma Productions.

Sakshi has assisted Bhansali on Bajirao Mastani and Milan Luthria earlier on his 2010 gangster-drama, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai. The youngster has grown out his wavy locks to prep for his debut and has been brushing up his acting skills for more than three years now.

Sakshi’s debut film, if it happens with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is supposed to be a romance-action-musical.
