Bollywood’s successful Jodi Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's latest
onscreen alliance proved to be magical asTiger Zinda Hai is creating magic at
the box office. This Ali Abbas Zafar directorial has already crossed the 250
crore mark and was the relieving factor to the dud that was 2017.
Katrina's act in particular has gathered the actress a lot of
admiration. Her action sequences were applauded and she was treated just like
the 'hero' of the film. On this, Katrina specified to a tabloid, "It’s
extremely important, and that’s why it feels nice. Portraying the role of a
powerful female character or projecting women in strong light don’t necessarily
mean that one has to play the protagonist or the solo lead."
"The fact that people are talking about my action
scenes or role in the film despite Salman’s presence is exciting. It is really
nice to see that the female character could be as strong," the actress further
added.
Speaking more in detail about her powerful character Zoya,
Katrina continued, "It’s great as my character is not just a damsel in
distress or the romantic interest but is fighting for her country. That’s
wonderful because I don’t think anyone expected the character to turn out to be
this strong."
