Filmmaker Rohit Shetty verified that he will be teaming up
with Ranveer Singh for a raw action movie. He specified, "I am going to
direct Ranveer very soon. The film will go on floors after he completes
Padmavati and Zoya Akhtar’s film. It is going to be a raw action film."
Now, a famous daily stated that Katrina Kaif has been
approached for the movie. The sources specified that Rohit is keen on casting
her for the movie.
But, when we got in touch with Rohit, he rebutted all the
rumours. He told, "I am shooting in Hyderabad, I don't know where this
story has started coming from. Nobody has been approached for the role as of
now."
He added, "I am busy with Golmaal Again and we are
simultaneously working on the Temper remake. We won't be approaching anyone
till December and any news before that is fake."
For, the remake of the Telugu movie Temper, Ranveer Singh
will don the hat of a police officer, though a corrupt one. Sources close to
the movie disclosed to the daily that the film will be a remake of 2015 super
hit. The south film's story rotated around a corrupt police officer joining
hands with an influential smuggler and how the cop's girlfriend brings about a
change in him with a little help from an honest constable.
With this film, it is the first time that Ranveer Singh will
turn a cop and fascinatingly, none of his contemporaries have ventured into
this zone. Arjun Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan orSidharth Malhotra - none
of them have played police officers as of yet, thus making Singh the first to
play in his generation of actors.
