Hollywood actress Emma Stone must absolutely be in La La
Land as tops Forbes annual list of The World's Highest Paid Actresses in 2017.
Emma topped the list by banking $26 million and deservedly so. With the Best
Actress nod at the Oscars and now the highest paid actress, 2017 is surely
shaping up to be Stone's Year.
On the film front, Emma will next be seen in Battle of the
Sexes which also stars Steve Carell. The actress is presently shooting for
Netflix's TV series Maniac which also stars Jonah Hill and Justin Theroux.
After Emma, F.R.I.E.N.D.S star Jennifer Aniston comes in at
the second position with earnings amounting to $25.5 million thanks to her
movie roles as well as numerous luxury brand endorsements. Jennifer Lawrence
who was the highest paid actress of 2016 with $46 million dropped to the third
position with $24 million. Melissa Mccarthy and Mila Kunis rounded the Top 5
with $18 million and $15.5 million, respectively. The sixth position was
clinched by Harry Potter star Emma Watson who was the newcomer on the list with
$14 million.
The Top 10 actresses on the list made a combined earning of
$172.5 million between June 1, 2016, and June 1, 2017.
No one from Asia made it to the Top 10 this time. Deepika
Padukone who ranked at number 10 on the 2016 list with $10 million was unable
to take a spot in the 2017 list amounting to a quieter year as she only had
xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
