The Central Board of Certification experienced numerous
changes yesterday with the major being ousting of Pahlaj Nihalani as the CBFC
Chief. Prasoon Joshi was then appointed the new chief of CBFC.
Along with this, Vidya Balan was the newest addition to the
CBFC. Taking to Twitter, Vidya expressed her pleasure over her new stint and
emphasised that she is looking forward to this new phase.
In a series of tweets, Vidya posted, "I am very happy
to join the CBFC and I hope to fulfill my responsibilities as a member to the
best of my abilities. I look forward to this new and exciting phase where our
cinema will be allowed to reflect the sensibilities, realities and complexities
of the society we are living in today."
