Kamal Haasan's elder brother Chandrahasan passed away in
London on Saturday.
As per an online portal, he suffered a massive cardiac
arrest and is survived by his daughter Anu Haasan. Chandrahasan was the
executive producer of Raj Kamal International and handled the production work
for many of Kamal's movies. It includes Vishwaroopam and his latest outing
Thoongagavanam and Sabash Naidu. He was 82 years old and breathed his
last at daughter Anu's residence in London.
Chandrahasan was also the pillar of strength to Kamal during
the Vishwaroopam dispute. He helped the actor a lot as he is a lawyer by
profession. Charuhasan, who is also an actor is the eldest brother of all. He
is the father of Suhasini and father-in-law of first-rate filmmaker Mani
Ratnam.
Reports have it, Chandrahasan's wife Geethamani also passed
away in the month of January. She was 73. Anu Haasan is famous for her show
Coffee With Anu on a popular Tamil channel named Vijay TV.
Coming to Kamal, the legendary actor had shared a rare
picture of his brother on Facebook. He captioned it telling, "All Haasan
boys except. Mr. Charuhasan. RtoL .Chandrahasan Nirmal Haasan
Siddharth Haasan and Me K.Haasan.San Jose"
