Steven Spielberg took some time off after The BFG, but now
he’s ready to get back to work with a film that will unite two acting dynamos
for the first time ever.
The A-lister is making a film about the Washington Post’s
role in exposing the Pentagon Papers in 1971, and he’s roped in Meryl Streep
and Tom Hanks to headline it. Tom will play the paper’s editor Ben Bradlee and
Meryl will star as his publisher Kay Graham, who both defied the government to
print the top-secret documents. I wouldn’t be surprised to see The Post earn
Meryl her 21st Oscar nomination.
