Tom Hanks’ love for typewriters is one of tinsel town’s
worst kept secrets, and at this point he has a collection of about 50 of them
that were all built during the 40s.
Now the star is taking his love for the vintage machines one
step further by releasing a collection of 17 short stories focusing on the
theme of typewriters. The book titled Uncommon Type: Some Stories will hit
bookstores in October and, yes, all the tales will be created on Tom’s
typewriters. If only all our hobbies were so productive!
