Jon Favreau’s animal connection is going strong!
The man behind The Jungle Book reboot has just signed a deal
to direct a continuation of Mowgli’s story, AND a live-action version of The
Lion King! The Lion King will drop first, and I’m happy to reveal that James
Earl Jones has agreed to reprise his voice role as Mufasa. Jon has also cast
Donald Glover as Simba and he’s currently on the lookout for his new Sarabi,
Nala, Timon, Pubmaa and Rafiki. I’ll let you know who he signs, when he signs
them!
