Shahid Kapoor begins Padmavati at Film City!

The shooting of Padmavati was lately delayed due to the attacks on the sets in Kolhapur. Before that, the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was slapped and abused by the members of the Rajput group Karni Sena in Jaipur's Jaigarh Fort, where the shooting of the film was going on.

After all this chaos, the schedule of the movie was flagged off in a famous studio in the city. As per a famous daily, the lead actor Shahid Kapoor who essays the role of Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh has taken up sword-fighting and horse-riding lessons. The actor started shooting for the film right after he returned to Mumbai after a short trip to Amritsar with wife Mira Rajput and daughter Misha.

A source informed the daily saying, "Deepika Padukone who plays Rani Padmavati is expected to join him soon."

The safety has been increased on the sets due to the past attacks. Confirming about it, the CEO of SLB Films, Shobha Sant told, "After the Kolhapur incident we wanted to be extra careful."

Padmavati also stars Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. He will be playing a negative role for the first time in his career. Aditi Rao Hydari plays his wife in the movie.

The film is expected to release on November 17, 2017, if the shooting completes as per the schedule.

If news are to be believed, Kabir will soon be venturing into the digital world with an international web series which will focus on Subhash Chandra Bose's Indian National Army.

The web series will seemingly be directed and produced by the filmmaker himself.

"It's a war epic, an Indian Band of Brothers (the 2001 American war-drama miniseries co-written by Tom Hanks and featuring Homeland star Damian Lewis) of sorts, which will touch upon several stories, including the contribution of women in the Indian National Army. Kabir has been working on the subject since many years and now has a screenplay ready, however, he will develop the story further only after the release of Tubelight with a team of writers," a source told to a famous daily.

The source further added that Kabir is very excited about this project and the budget for the same will be higher than any of his films till date. "Kabir is extremely excited about this mega project with a scale and budget that will be way higher than any of his films till date. It will mostly be a nine to 10-episode series to be shot extensively abroad with some portions set in India and will feature actors and technicians from all over the world but Kabir will begin casting only after the release of Tubelight," told the source.

Before making his Bollywood debut, Kabir has worked as cinematographer for a documentary film by Gautam Ghosh, Beyond the Himalayas. Later with the Forgotten Army, Kabir made his documentary debut. The film was based on Subhas Chandra Bose's Indian National Army.

Kabir made his Bollywood debut with Kabul Express which starred John Abraham and Arshad Warsi.

Rajinikanth’s No for any bypoll candidate!

Ever since previous Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa was admitted to hospital to her unfortunate demise, Tamil Nadu has been making news for the prevalent political crisis in the state.

Now the bypoll of RK Nagar (which was Jayalalithaa's constituency) is to be held after her death, and megastar Rajinikanth's opinion is what is said to enormously influence the masses.

Many of his admirers even expressed their wish for Rajinikanth to hold the CM's chair, but, the superstar has always shied away from entering politics, for reasons known good to him.

Well, the biggest example of his mass appeal is obvious when the AIADMK party lost the elections in 1996 after Rajinikanth had warned against electing her [Jayalalilithaa] to power. "If Jayalalithaa is voted back to power, even God cannot save Tamil Nadu," Rajinikanth had told. Well, what happened next is history!

As soon as photos of Rajinikanth with celebrated music composer Gangai Amaran, BJP's candidate from RK Nagar, started doing the rounds, conjectures were made of his possible alliance with BJP.

One must remember that the RK Nagar bypoll is of much importance to the TN politics as both both fractions of AIADMK led by Sasikala and O Paneersalvem respectively have fielded their candidates.

Well, Rajinikanth has finally put to rest all the conjectures. Taking to twitter, Rajinikanth tweeted, "My support is for no one in the coming elections."

Taapsee Pannu starrer Naam Shabana gets a UA certificate after 3 cuts!

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu is all geared up to kick ass in her new film Naam Shabana. The film is a prequel to Baby which starred Akshay Kumar in the lead and the special appearance by Taapsee was loved by all. Naam Shabana also stars Akshay, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, Prithviraj Sukumaran.

As per a famous tabloid, the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the movie with a UA certificate and three cuts.

One of the cuts includes a domestic violence scene. A source from CBFC said the tabloid, "Hitting a woman is not permissible under any circumstance. Today, if we had to certify films about domestic violence like Deepa Mehta’s Heaven On Earth or Jagmohan Mundra’s Provoked, it would be impossible."

There were two more uncommon cuts. "A shot showing a bottle of liquor had to go. And a Santa-Banta joke was asked to be deleted. Ridiculing any community, no matter how sporting the humour, it is not allowed," the source disclosed.

Directed by Shivam Nair, the movie is slated to release on March 31, 2017.

In the meantime, in an interview, when Taapsee was questioned whether there are any similarities between her character Shabana and herself, the actress disclosed, "A Big fat 0, I don’t relate to it at all. It was a huge challenge, not just physically but also mentally. I can’t identify with this role. So far, whatever role I did, I had an element of me in them, but this film has zero elements of me. I love to talk a lot, this woman doesn’t, she has extremely strong stubborn focus, I am not that stubborn with goals. She doesn’t shy away from hitting people if need be, I don’t do that, I can’t even stand violence in front of my eyes for a long time. I take everything at face value, while she can read between the lines. My sixth sense doesn’t exist."

Armaan Malik fights for brother Amaal!

Brothers of Music Industry Armaan Malik and Amaal Malik have often spoken their hearts out when something isn't right. They have expressed their sentiments without the fear of being judged. A similar case happened recently.

Amaal's newest track Gulaabi Aankhen from Noor released last night and has already been a hit with the audience. The video has clocked almost 3 million views and is sure to climb the music charts this week.

A famous tabloid carried a report about the song mentioning the details of it. But, they missed out on mentioning Amaal's name who is the singer and the composer of the song. The report mentions only Tulsi Kumar and Yash Narvekar's name along with lyricist Kumaar. While Amaal didn't react to this, the goof up didn't go down well with his brother Armaan Malik.

Armaan got on to Twitter and slammed the publication. He posted, "LOL you write 'Gulaabi Aankhein Goes EDM' & don't give credit to the person who made it happen. bow down @AmaalMallik you're above all this!"

Armaan further added, ".@AmaalMallik you're the KING bro! And just by the way #Gulabi is on 3 Mill."

We wonder what the makers of the movie have to react to it.

Directed by Sunhil Sippy and jointly produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment, Noor stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead and is scheduled to release on April 21, 2017. The film is an adaptation of Pakistani journalist and writer Saba Imtiaz's debut novel Karachi, You're Killing Me! In the film, Sonakshi, who plays the role of a journalist, is shown dealing with her set of issues and is finding her way in life!

Farhan Akhtar’s NO for promotion of his debut film ‘The Fakir of Venice’!

Bollywood filmmaker and director Farhan Akhtar made his acting debut with Rock On!! in the year 2008. For his role as Aditya Shroff, Farhan won several accolades and then there was no turning back for the actor.

But, only a few of them know that Rock On!! was not supposed to be his acting debut. Yes, the multifaceted actor had worked on another project titled The Fakir of Venice which isn't released yet. But, now the makers are gearing up for the release of the movie.

Now, as per a famous daily, Farhan is yet to join the promotional campaign of the movie and has not given a green signal about it to the makers. Speaking about it, an insider specified, "The makers have been trying to get in touch with Farhan for a while but in vain. He may be busy with other commitments, but they are hoping to receive a reply at least."

The first look of the movie was released on Monday and it showed Farhan and Annu Kapoor in hermit attire. The film is directed by ad filmmaker Anand Surapur and also stars Kamal Sidhu in a pivotal role.

Presently, Farhan has started shooting for Lucknow Central in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The source further added, "The Fakir of Venice got stuck when the producers changed, but the issue has been resolved and the film is ready for release. It is the director's debut project too."

The Fakir of Venice is reportedly inspired by filmmaker Homi Adajania's real experiences during his travels and was screened at several film festivals.

When the producer Punit Desai was asked about the development of the film, he told, "We are in talks for dubbing certain parts and exploring the opportunity for a promotional song with Farhan and AR Rahman."

While Anand told, "Farhan and I go back a long way. He has always been supportive of my endeavours."

Anushka Sharma rejects any similarity between Phillauri and Corpse Bride!

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is all set for the release of Phillauri, her second movie as a producer.

In the movie, we will get to see the actor playing the role of a friendly spirit named Shashi, who lives on a tree.

Suraj Sharma, another lead of the movie gets married to a tree where Shashi lives as he is a Manglik. But Shashi calls herself his wife as she is a resident of that tree and states he married her not the tree.

When these hilarious sequences were shown in the trailer, many felt it was inspired by a Hollywood movie titled Corpse Bride.

Lately, Anushka was questioned about it and she blatantly rejected by stating, "There is no similarity between Phillauri and Corpse Bride because Tim Burton's movie falls in dark humour space. Secondly, the whole concept of a Manglik getting married to a tree is a very Indian concept so it can not be a copy of anything. But, I understand when something different comes out, people are like 'are different hai toh kisi ka copy toh hoga'."

Corpse Bride is an animated movie starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and was released in the year 2005.

Phillauri is directed by debutant Anshai Lal and also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Mehreen Pirzada in pivotal roles. The movie is produced by Fox Star India and Clean Slate Films and it is slated to release tomorrow that is, March 24, 2017.

Nimrat Kaur-Saif and Fatima Sana Shaikh-Rohan Mehra will make new pairs for the Baazaar!

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's Baazaar has been in the news for quite some time now. The movie is being directed by Nikkhil Advani and the work on its script has been going on for a while. But now, as per to a tabloid, the script after a few altercations is ready and Saif is all set to begin shooting for it.

But, the lead actresses aren't pronounced yet. If the news are to be believed, then actress Nimrat Kaur has been approached for the role of the leading lady. Seemingly, she will be romancing Saif in the thriller that is based on the stock market.

Baazaar also makes the debut of Vinod Mehra's son Rohan Mehra and a hunt for an actress opposite him too, was on. It seems, Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh has bagged the role. Fatima would be seen opposite Rohan in the film.

But, no official announcements have been made yet.

In the meantime, Baazaar recently grabbed headlines when its producer Ekta Kapoor opted out of it. While initially it was touted that she chose to part ways over the budget of the movie and issues with Nikkhil Advani, the producers of the movie Emmay Entertainment explained that the split was friendly and they are open to working with Ekta in the near future.

Apart from Baazaar, Saif Ali Khan is also gearing up for the release of his movies Chef and Kaala Kaanti. While Chef has been wrapped up last month, Kaala Kaandi is under post production. Remarkably, Saif is also approached for Aanand L Rai's next and an pronouncement about it shall be made soon.

Sidharth and Sonakshi starrer Ittefaq’s wrap up soon!

Bollywood stars Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha are all set to star together on screen for the first time in Ittefaq. The film is a remake of the 1969 thriller of the same name which starred Rajesh Khanna and Nanda and was directed by Yash Chopra.

A while back the shooting of the film commenced with Shah Rukh Khan dropping by to wish the cast and crew on Day 1 of the shooting.

As per a famous tabloid, the shooting of the film is going to be very soon. A few portions of the thriller have already been canned and there will be no songs. Instead, there will only be a promotional video and the runtime will be less than two hours.

A source informed the tabloid, “Ittefaq doesn’t have songs and it’s a murder mystery with a twist. So the makers thought that making it long will work against it. Plus, there are no songs. So the makers have taken bulk dates from Sid and Sonakshi to finish the film as soon as possible."

Ittefaq is helmed by Abhay Chopra and is produced by Red Chillies, Dharma Productions and BR films.

In the meantime, Sidharth will next be seen in Reload and will be starring opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is scheduled to release on August 25, 2017.

Sonakshi will next be seen as a journalist in Noor which is directed by Sunhil Sippy and is slated to release on April 21, 2017.

What is in Sonakshi Sinha’s mind to ask question from Salman on the launch of song Gulabi 2.0!

Sonakshi Sinha was at the launch of the new song Gulabi 2.0 from her newest outing Noor. As we all know, the trailer of Noor has been quite inspiring so far and this newly released song, too, manages to woo us with its groovy dance moves and foot-tapping music.

But what caught our attention at the event was Sonakshi’s keenness to play rapid fire with Papa Sinha and Salman Khan. Yes, that’s right! If given a chance, Sonakshi told, she’d ask her father a question to which he will not give his signature reply ‘Khamosh’. But it was the question directed at Salman Khan that won our hearts. If Sonakshi gets a chance to ask the bhai of all bhai’s one question, the actress told, “I will ask him the same question that everyone is asking him for years.” Well, we usually don’t read between the lines but here, we believe that Sonakshi is hinting at the classic question of Salman Khan and his wedding. Are we correct, Sonakshi?

Noor, directed by Sunhil Sippy, is based on Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz’s novel Karachi, You’re Killing Me! The film is scheduled to release on 21 April 2017. As Sonakshi Sinha plays the role of a journalist in the film, the story revolves around Sonakshi and her journey through the field of media, covering dangerous stories while also straightening out her own life and passions.

After Tamma Tamma Again and Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast, Noor’s Gulabi 2.0 is a remix of an old song.

We're talking too much about nepotism, says Alia Bhatt!

The chirpy actress Alia Bhatt comes from a family of actors and filmmakers, but with her resourcefulness and choice of movies like "Highway", "Udta Punjab" and "Dear Zindagi", she has made her own mark in Bollywood. She feels people are needlessly talking "too much" about the existence of nepotism in the industry.

"We are talking too much about it. We need to stop," the actress, who lately turned 24, told Alia when asked about her views on the nepotism debate.

The debate was sparked off after actress Kangana Ranaut tagged filmmaker Karan Johar a 'flagbearer of nepotism'.

Alia, who was launched in the Hindi film industry by Karan with "Student of The Year", has been charged many a time with getting an easy entry into Bollywood because of her father Mahesh Bhatt.

But, the actress let her work talk with her talent in her second film "Highway". She again impressed many by taking the attention away from Shah Rukh Khan in Gauri Shinde's "Dear Zindagi", and in "Udta Punjab", she got a thumbs up for portraying a Bihari girl with ease.

Questioned about what makes her choose roles as varied as the ones in "Student Of The Year" and the very recent "Badrinath Ki Dulhania", Alia told, "Like the way I don't dress up for other people, in a similar way, I do different films for myself and not for someone else. I want to do different films for myself and not because 'log aise kar rahey hai' (people are doing so).

"That's the by-product of it."

Her five-year journey in the film industry has made her more responsible.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Dragon will arrive on the time!

Actor Ranbir Kapoor is all set to come together with his best friend and director Ayan Mukerji for the third time after Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in Dragon. Ranbir will be starring opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time. Bhatt has been a fan of Ranbir since her Student of the Year days and hence it will be exciting to see them together on screen.

Lately, rumours were widespread that because of an increase in the budget, the movie has been delayed to next year. However, a source close to the project denied the news. The source said, "It's not true. The movie's shooting will commence after Ranbir completes the shoot for the Sanjay Dutt biopic, in September or October."

In the meantime, Ranbir is totally engrossed in the character of Sanjay Dutt as he is busy shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's movies. The movie stars Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala and Anushka Sharma. Ranbir's upcoming release is Jagga Jasoos which also stars his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif and is directed by Anurag Basu. Although there have been numerous reports of possible delays in the movie, as of now - the movie is releasing on April 7, 2017.

Currently, Alia Bhatt is enjoying the success of her newest movie Badrinath Ki Dulhaniawhich is doing very well at the box-office and her performance along with Varun Dhawan has been applauded. She will now be taking a break for a few months and then start shooting again.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati is again faced the vandalism incident!

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati set was torched lately for the second time, this time in Kolhapur. B-Town woke up to this shocking news as it wasn't clear as to who was behind this uninvited vandalism.

But, as per to a famous tabloid, the police might have got some clue regarding the culprits. "We are gathering information about the movement of vehicles on the roads leading to the plateau from Panhala and Kolhapur. We are also checking CCTV footage from hotels, lodges, and shops located on these roads," Special inspector general, Kolhapur range was quoted saying by a leading daily.

Kolhapur police are also trying to gather as much information possible from the youths based in the neighboring areas.

About 70-80% of the costumes were burnt to ashes due to this incident. Reports even suggest that the Mumbai unit of the Rajput Karni Sena was behind this attack. Answering to this, Special inspector general said, "We have got information about this. We will soon conduct an investigation into the claim and take action after confirming the statement."

In the meanwhile, the movie crew is apparently planning to resume shooting after 10 days. "We are taking the material to a safe place nearby Kolhapur now as a precautionary measure. We will return within 10 days to complete the shooting," disclosed a crew member.

A group of people had set the Padmavati set on fire on Wednesday at around 12:30 AM. An official complaint has been lodged regarding the same.

Previously in January, the Padmavati shoot in Jaipur was also disrupted wherein the members of the Karni Sena had also misbehaved with Bhansali for allegedly misrepresenting the facts.

Directed by Bhansali, the historical drama stars Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.

Mohit Suri eliminates Chetan Bhagat bit from the Half Girlfriend!

Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor's romantic drama Half Girlfriend is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel by the same name. Directed by Mohit Suri, the movie will see Arjun depicting the role of a national-level basketball player, Madhav Jha. The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role who will be seen playing Arjun's romantic interest.

Well, it's said that an author needs some creative liberties when it comes to putting their words onscreen through a lens of a director.  This has happened in the case of Chetan as Mohit has eliminated his bit from the movie.

In an interview with a famous daily, Mohit told, "Chetan asked me to make the movie, maybe because he thought I was the right person to convert the book to a film. (However) I have edited the narrator (Chetan) from my story. So, basically, I have cut Chetan's role from the film."

Delving more into details about the changes he made in story, he told, "The book was written in English, but the hero cannot converse in that language, so that has been changed. There was also some sexual abuse backstory to Shraddha's character that I have tweaked."

"She has a dark past. But the story will concentrate more on the love (romantic equation with Arjun's character)," further added Mohit.

When we communicated Chetan Bhagat, his spokesperson repudiated such stories and told that there were any plans as such and they have no clue about such reports.

Is it because of creative adjustments that Mohit and Chetan have parted their ways? This is still something which will come into limelight when the writer speaks about it in open.

Just two days back, Bhagat had posted that, "Half Girlfriend poster, trailer, songs will all start coming out around end March/ early April." He had also added, "Absolutely extraordinary music in Half Girlfriend. Best album in years hands down. Can't wait to share it all with you in a couple of weeks."

Half Girlfriend is set to release on May 19, this year.

Salman’s fight with wolves!

Belief Salman Khan to blow up your mind with his persistent charm, unimaginable stunts, and adorable dance steps.

Salman along with rumored ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif was in Austria for the shooting of Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai. The duo were reported to be rekindling their romance on the sets.

But, the latest we know is that Salman is all set to fight the wolves in the coming week. In the coming week, the actor will be shooting for an action scene with a pack of wolves for Tiger Zinda Hai.

"It is producer Aditya Chopra’s vision that the film matches with international standards of action and the crew is going the extra mile to ensure that the spy drama TZH delivers on that vision. Salman will be seen fighting off a pack of wolves in a high-octane action scene in the snow-laden forests of Austria," verified the producers in an official statement.

The scene will be shot with the aid of a stunt performer Tom Struthers and a Hollywood led stunt and action crew.

The international action crew is taking all cautionary measures to ensure the wolves are well taken care of by their trainer whose been working with the team for several days now and the action sequence will follow all guidelines.

Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer Ek Tha Tiger. The film is set to release later this year.

M.S. Dhoni rescued from fire breaks out at his Dwarka hotel!

Recently, Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was staying in a hotel in Delhi's Dwarka area. He survived a fire scare which took place today morning at the hotel named Welcome Hotel. He was staying there with his Jharkhand cricket teammates.

As per a famous tabloid, all the players were evacuated on time and are safe. The team is currently in Delhi to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Bengal. The match was supposed to be held today but has been postponed to Saturday.

The fire broke out in the ground-floor lobby of the hotel, while the players were staying on the seventh floor. Speaking about it to a popular sports channel, Ishank Jaggi, Jharkhand batsman specified, "We were to assemble in the lobby at 7:30 am as we usually do before a game, but at 7, I was asked to stay back in the room by Pratyush Singh as there was lot of fire and smoke at the ground floor lobby."

He further added, "It spread quite quickly and when we finally got out of our seventh-floor rooms, all we could see around us was smoke. It was so thick that we couldn’t even see the far end of the lobby."

The situation was brought under control soon as the fire alarm did not go off on time. He further told, "What added to our concern was the fire alarm didn’t go off, so we assumed it to be a small fire accident. But when there was a strong burning smell, we were asked to vacate immediately. The seriousness of it struck us only when we got out. The smoke spread to our rooms as well. That is when we were asked to run down the stairs."

Dhoni and the whole team of Jharkhand were taken to another hotel. The final match is scheduled on Sunday, but there is no confirmation about it yet.
