TV channel CNN News 18 hosted their annual awards, Indian of
the Year recently in the capital city. This is the 9th edition of the awards
that recognize individuals from various fields who contribute to enhancing
Brand India.
Virat Kohli was honoured with Indian of the Year Award-
Popular Choice. He is the only captain to have scored ten international
hundreds in a calendar year. Virat has also successfully led team India to no.
1 rank in test cricket.
Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar was honoured for Special
Achievement. The 20 year old won the Miss World crown after 17 years.
Virat Kohli handed over her award to Manushi Chhillar.
Rajkummar Rao was awarded in the Entertainment category for
his superlative performances in Trapped, Newton and Bareily Ki Barfi.
