Only after the script is finalised will the production be scheduled, no?, reveals Akshay Kumar on Mogul!

Earlier, it was disclosed that Akshay Kumar will be stepping into the shoes of the late music mogul and founder of T-series, Gulshan Kumar in his biopic. Titled Mogul, the film is being directed by Subhash Kapoor.

But, latest rumors started making the rounds that Akshay was not keen on doing the movie due to creative differences with the makers. A source had revealed a daily, "Akshay has come concerns over the script that director Subhash Kapoor has greenlit. He requested a few things be rewritten. But, Subhash was adamant. Hence, Akshay thought it was best if he opted out."

Mogul was firstly supposed to release next year but got pushed to 2019 and there is also the fact that Subhash may helm Jolly LLB 3 in 2018 with Akshay and Arshad Warsi.

When a tabloid got in touch with Bhushan Kumar on the same, he responded, "This is not just another film for us. Mogul is a very emotional project. This is a story, which will be narrated only once. Subhash is working on the script and the focus is on getting it right. There are so many aspects of the subject, and it’s important that the right emotional connect comes through."

Speaking about the movie's shoot and release date, Bhushan Kumar further added, "We had never locked the dates with Akshay. Once the script is finalised, we will proceed with planning and scheduling the shoot. The priority is to get the script right. It’s not easy to tell a life story in two-and-a-half hours flat. And since Mogul is based on my father’s life, we have invested emotionally in the project, especially my mother."

On the side, Akshay joked, "Subhash is scripting the film. Only after the script is finalised will the production be scheduled, no?"
