The topic of mental health and depression is something several
Bollywood stars have been opening about recently. Because of their valor to
come out and talk about, they have proved to motivate numerous who have gone
through the same problems.
On this, Kajol revealed to a tabloid, "Actors coming
out and talking about their mental health issues makes a difference because
then you realise that someone that famous can also have the same problems that
you face. Therefore, it’s not that big a deal, and you can talk about it. Also,
sometimes in our heads, we build our own problems and make them much bigger,
but when we talk about them, we realise that it’s actually not that
serious."
Getting open about her own mental well-being, Kajol told,
"You have to give yourself time to absorb everything happening around you.
I have days when there are so many things to be done, and you can’t go to
sleep, as your mind is still working. So, giving time to yourself and your mind
is important."
On the film front, Kajol will next be seen in Pradeep
Sarkar's directorial which is an adaptation of Anand Gandhi's Gujarati play,
Beta Kaagdo.
Kajol will be playing a single parent as the story rotates
around a mother-son relationship.
