Famous playwright and humourist Taarak Mehta has passed away
today. The well-known artist was 87 and breathe his last after a prolonged
illness.
A famous media agency took to their Twitter and shared the
news. They specified, "Renowned Indian humorist and playwright Taarak
Mehta passes away at the age of 87 years after prolonged illness"
Famous SAB TV's show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is
the adaptation of his popular column Duniya Ne Undha Chasma. It was
featured in the Gujarati weekly magazine Chitralekha. The show is having a
successful run for more than eight years and viewers still applaud it for its
simple yet impactful content.
Taarak Mehta was awarded Padma Shri in the year 2015 for his
contribution towards literature.
Other than Duniya Ne Undha Chasma, he has penned down numerous
stories namely Aa Duniya Panjarapole, Action Replay ½, Albelun America Vanthelun America,
Champaklal Tapuni Jugalbandhi, Betaj Batali Baj Popatlal Taraj and
more.
