Superstar Aamir Khan's Dangal is maybe the highest
grossing Indian movie after the sports drama did a business of over Rs 532
crore in the domestic as well as the international market.
But do we know how much Aamir received as remuneration for
the movie? As per to a famous tabloid report, Aamir has earned a whopping Rs
175 crore (approx) from the movie. Yes, you heard it right!
The actor who is on a profit sharing ratio with the producers
has earned a enormous share, given the kind of money made by the movie. An
insider source was quoted telling, "Aamir himself has earned a humongous
Rs 175 crore (approx) from the film with the kind of profit-sharing partnership
he entered into with co-producers Disney UTV. While he took Rs 35 crore upfront
he also took 33 per cent of partnership as he always does for his films. And
will take 33 per cent royalty in whatever money the film earns in the future,
including satellite rights.”
Dangal also starred Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar,
Fatima Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Sakshi Tanwar. The star cast was lauded for
their convincing performances, which was also the biggest selling point of the
movie.
Aamir lately celebrated his 52nd birthday and while
interacting with the media was all praises for the Dangal girls.
The actor is presently shooting for his upcoming movie the Thugs
of Hindostan which also stars Amitabh Bachchan. The movie is slated to
release later this year.
