We had previously stated that Sanjay Leela Bhansali may cast
his favourite B-town couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukonein his next
period drama that is tentatively titled Padmavati and now, gossip is abuzz with
news that Shah Rukh Khanmay also star in the film.
Rumour mills have been widespread with news about Sanjay
Leela Bhansali planning to cast SRK and Ranveer in a movie since quite some
time and that movie may just be Padmavati as it has two male lead characters –
Raja Ratansen and Sultan Allaudin Khilji.
However, an insider claims that Bhansali is currently
working on two scripts and while one will feature Khan, the other will feature
Singh. The source added that it's highly unlikely that they will star in the
same film. Neither Sanjay nor the actors have confirmed the reports, yet.
Padmavati revolves around Padmavati, the Queen of Chittor,
who was known for her beauty and Sultan Alauddin Khilji's obsessive love for
her, which prompted him to invade Chittor so that he could defeat the king and
capture Padmavati for his harem.
In the meantime, Shah Rukh is busy with Raees, while Ranveer
is shooting for Befikre.
