Predict choice to rope in Shraddha Kapoor for Rock On!! 2 is
paying off for its makers in a big way. The movie was in news for many reasons
- both good and bad - ever since it was publicized. When it was finally sorted
that who would direct the movie and whether the director of first in the series
(Abhishek Kapoor) would get credit or not, it came down to the choice of actors
for the part. Now that Shraddha has further confirmed her standing as a top
Bollywood heroine after the super-success of Baaghi, looks like all cards have
been well laid down for the musical.
"Definitely," opines a trade expert,
"Shraddha is enjoying a massive success rate and that too across varied
genre of movies. She has a hit romantic musical like Aashiqui 2 and a violent
love tale like Ek Villain behind her. Furthermore, she has also delivered a 100
crore super hit with the musical ABCD - Any Body Can Dance 2. She did well even
in a relatively small part in Haider, which did well critically as well as
commercially. What has further strengthened her position in the industry is
Baaghi which has turned out to be a big hit. Shraddha is turning out to be a whole
package heroine and Rock On!! 2 will benefit."
In fact after a shaky beginning with Teen Patti and Luv Ka
The End, Shraddha has come a long way. The intelligent choices that she has
made are the highlights of her career and Rock On!! 2 is a good addition to
that.
"This can be pretty much evidenced from the fact that
as a brand, Rock On!! is led by two stars - Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal. Furthermore,
Prachi Desai and Purab Kohli continue in the second part too. This means the
character introduced by the makers has to be solid enough for Shraddha to step
into the film. With her presence, the film's fortunes would only get further
elevated," the professional continues.
Though one would get to know about that truly happening only
six months from now (Rock On!! 2 releases on 11th November), rest assured the movie
would be Super-Hot indeed by the time it hits the screens this winter.
